[ROM] Harmonia 2.09 18July12 (IHO Gingerbread)

Re: [ROM] Harmonia 2 (IHO Gingerbread) See first post for updat

All I can say currently is I love the simplicity of the ROM, with all the other custom junk removed. Fast/Stable, only issue was a restart due to overclocking my CPU to 806Mhz which wasn't full so it restarted.

Much love LeslieAnn :D

Rootede my phone, followed the instructions on backing up, wiping and then installed Harmonia 2. My phone boots to the Android logo, then Harmonia...the Harmonia logo cycles colors for a while then freezes and/or hangs after a minutes or so.

I did not do a factory reset of personal data, just wiped out the directories as specified in this thread

http://forums.androidcentral.com/op...pe-your-android-update-clear-new-rom-etc.html

Any ideas of what I can do to recover from this?

Should I have done a factory reset when moving from the default OV image?

Also, what key press(es) at boot should I use to get back to the recovery image?

Edit: I was able to find the key presses to get into the recovery image. Before I flashed it, I ran the md5 check so the image should be ok.

It's probably a new phone being stubborn, flash again right over the top.

Thanks LeslieAnn. I did a complete wipe and I was able to get it to boot. The reset sorta scared me. I thought I'd have to re-provision w/Virgin Mobile but that fear was unfounded.

I have a couple of suggestions to add to the guide for newbies. Once I get my phone restored, if you're interested, I can provide them to you.

Thanks once again.

Is anybody having wifi signal changing between ics and gb?

I'm gonna guess that you were on quattrimus before... in which case, I am going to guess that you flashed harmonia without wiping properly. Try a full wipe and a reflash.

Strange, this is happening to me now and I was on MiRaGe right before Harmonia, but flashed Quattrimus around when alpha 7 first released. After that I tried MIUIgb and LeWa twice, going back to MiRaGe then flashing Harmonia. Did the Quattrimus icons really stay on the phone through at least ten complete wipes and about seven rom flashes? Those are some resilient icons.

Tell me which icon this is:

I think it's the gingerbread one, but I could be wrong.

This is from turning on and off wifi:

It's not really meant as an install guide, but go ahead.

Harmonia 2 has mrg666's rom as a base and mrg changed the the icons to a ics style.

this is what's happening to in my phone. If I don't have a signal, it will switch to ics style.

I might have missed this in earlier posts, but where would i put a bootanimation in this ROM? i tried pushing it to /system/media but that didnt work and i cant find where the standard harmonia one is. Love the ROM always liked harmonia

Did you mount the system partition as writable when you tried pushing?

Code:
[SIZE="2"]mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system[/SIZE]

yes i did and throug root explorer it shows that its there. ive toggled on and off show bootanimation in cyanogenmod settings but neither option helped.

Re: [ROM] Harmonia 2 (IHO Gingerbread) See first post for updat

Try moving the boot animation to /data/media/ and see if that works, or try pushing with adb.

I'm not entirely sure (correct me if I'm wrong leslie), but harmonia doesn't have a boot animation. Just the harmonia symbol popping up and then the shiny android logo. Leslie has bootanimations disabled to speed up boot time.

I could be wrong, its been a while since I played with harmonia2
