[ROM] Official CM10 Nightlies on your GS3!

Running the M1 build with LeanKernel 0.16 and runs pretty nice. I am happy with it. AOKP Build 3 is out on other devices so I would suspect that we will be getting that soon as well.

I think I'll wait till I see a review on build 3 before testing.

If you are already running a CM10 nightly you just need to download the ROM you want to flash (newer nightly) and boot into recovery. Once there just wipe your cache/dalvik/system. I would recommend you wipe system 2-3 times to ensure its fully wiped out and then flash CM10 and Gapps. Profit.

Almost bricked my phone!! Downloaded the 20120924 build from cm 10 from goo manager and when I tried installing it failed!!! Then accidentally hit reboot and all hell broke loose..in the middle of class

How did it fail to install? Did it give you some form of message in your recovery and what recovery are you using?

I am using twrp. But I downloaded the zip there and it failed when I tried to flash that. So I downloaded it from cwm and tried again with twrp and it worked!

Download goo.im it will automatically check the MD5 sums when the download is complete and has been generally reliable for me.

I had that same issue the other day when I was on M1. Solved it by using Alarm Clock Xtreme Free from Play Store.

9/24 Nightly, wifi tether is not working. It tells me something about error enabling access control, regardless of if I have it enabled or not. Tried clearing cache/reinstall etc of the app.

If I install by doing a full wipe, is there a way to save/import my settings/screen arrangements or anything?

I use titaniumbackup to backup my apps and such, but any to backup the actual settings? Or is that not possible/recommended due to being on nightlies?

If you use a launcher like Nova you can save and restore your home screen and launcher settings. Aside from that, you should not restore system files like that. You will probably get a lot of force closes and make your phone next to useless.

Has anyone had a problem with Blue tooth on the last couple of Nightly builds? I'm able to connect, and it works for the phone, but streaming audio doesn't work. Checked the setting and it should be fine.

Not all phones are created equal. Very odd but some people will have issues while others wont. It's all a matter of what your phone can take.

4G was fine after I did some tweaking with M1. Do this, go into Settings > More... > Mobile Network > CDMA Subscription. It should have RUIM/SIM checked. If it doesn't check that instead of NV and then turn airplane mode on, let it site for minute then off. It should bring you to an activation screen, when it does hit the home key and you should see your 4G service come on.

I tried your method it didn't do anything but when I clicked LTE/CDMA/EvDo Instead of LTE/CDMA it came on?

Yea that would do it too. For some reason with CM10, whenever you reboot your device or on first boot you need to changed the radios to LTE/CDMA/EvDo. I had to do the same thing as well. Have no idea why that makes a difference but that has been a bug since early builds.
