Anyone having issues with the wifi hotspot? Every time I try to turn it on, it kills the 3g connection and I can't get it back unless rebooted.

*edit
it crashes when i enable hotspot, give me a stop error. then disables 3g connection.
This happened to me the first time I enabled it, but after rebooting fixed data once, I've had no issues in the ~ half dozen times I've used it since.

Maybe try enabling wifi on its own before enabling wifi AP. I got into the habit of doing this under cm7, as it seemed to circumvent the hotspot glitchiness there. Bear in mind, this is probably entirely a placebo solution, but it's at least been working reliably.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going off the setup sheet I was given by IT which has my domain/username, sever, and a bunch of other stuff I don't need like ports and alt servers, and I know my own email address and password. It's possible the service is down at the moment so I'll wait until Monday and contact them. Thanks again.

I tried this ROM out today and couldn't seem to get USB mass storage to work?

EDIT: Nevermind like an idiot, I forgot to turn off debugging. Everything seems great so far. Thanks !

anyone having a problem with the alarm clock widget? i place it on the screen but when i click it doesn't go to the alarm clock screen and the on off button doesn't work either...which i guess is possibly half right since there arent any alarms set

Been using this for a couple of days now, and so far it has been fast, stable and rock solid. Everything just works (that I use anyway) and battery life is outstanding (coming from ThundeRom 1.8.3)

Hey guys i know im suppose to be on the optimus v forums but i love this rom and do yall know who to get my 3g back

Great ROM! I always wanted the features of ThundeROM and nROM, so this a dream come true.

Did you guys write the launcher? I love the categories in the applications.

Feature request: I wish there was an option to hide the dock and use a gesture to open the app drawer.

Maybe a new problem. Everytime i end a call with the end button, it reboots on me. This install was on a data and dalvik wipe. I even lowered the clock back to 600, and it happened again.

No problems here. Try wiping everything again and reflash.

I flashed this ROM last night. I wasn't planning on using a theme because I liked the default NamelessROM theme. So I flashed noIQagent. After doing so, I noticed that the background changed to the normal Android stock wallpaper of the snowy mountains while immediately after the NamelessROM flash it was the thunderROM wallpaper. Not a big deal for me. Was just wondering if anyone else ran into this and if this was normal after flashing the agent file? I know that sometimes little things like this can be indications that something wasn't done right along the way and can be a nuisance down the road...

Is it me or is battery life worse with this compared to TR1.8.2? Been web browsing and texting for 24 minutes exactly and I sit at 93 on battery and cell standby is over 55 percent of that.... any help?

I appreciate all ur guys work and i loved thuderom before you stopped overclocking it but I am personally hooked on 2.3 now it is just so much better than froyo which has been out for 11 months now. So i have proposition why don't yall join up with zefie combine all your work together to make this the best phone experience ever? aka out with the old in with the new!!!

Yes this is normal after the noIQagent.zip flash. You can change the wallpaper back by long pressing on the homescreen.

My battery life is better than ever. My phone has been unplugged now for 20 minutes and cell standby is at 54%. That is relatively normal. Web browsing and texting constantly for 24 minutes uses a fair amount of power, so I would give it a few days to really get a good feel for your battery life, before assuming the ROM is the cause.

Thanks for the replies. Just want to make sure I didn't get stuck with a battery problem after a bad flash or something. I am going to charge my battery up and try to reflash and see if there's a difference. Thanks again guys. loving this new ROM for better or for worse....

Just to note: Make sure you follow to flashing instructions exactly. Sometimes, missing a step, can also throw things off.

After about 8 hours I am ending up around 50%. Facebook, texting web and calls.

Yesterday, from a full charge, I got to 50 percent after 14 hours of Facebook, Twitter, Angry Birds, calls and web surfing. That was with SetCPU on-demand throttling, but still the best battery life I've ever gotten. Better than my Blackberry Curve, even, and it got great battery life.

Can the init script be made to check whether the phone is already in airplane mode before doing the 12sec switch workaround? This is a holdover bug from TR1.8, since I don't use the phone as a, well, phone. Every time it reboots I need to put it back to airplane mode.

Also, not sure if this is a Android thing, but putting on Airplane mode also disables WiFi. I'm not sure what the logic is for this, since you can re-enable WiFi right after, and Bluetooth does not seem to suffer from the same issue. Thanks.

Everything is working fine for me so far. One thing I have noticed is that it seems if I try to replace one of the launcher bar shortcuts with an app that is on my SDcard, upon reboot the launcher bar reverts that shortcut back to what it originally was. I can't replace the stock browser with dolphin HD. That is no big deal though! Thanks for the rom guys.

is anyone else's clock behind an hour? Mine is behind exactly one hour. Dont know if its a fluke, or???
