It changes to either sound or vibrate. change what this button does with the power control application.
Right. I understand that, but what I'm saying is that instead of, for example, just turning the sound on/off or on/vibrate (depending on the option chosen in the power control app) it is
permanently changing/overriding the phones actual settings (Settings > Sounds).
Example:
I set my phone to vibrate "Only when not in silent mode" in Settings > Sounds.
Then I set Power Control to Sound/Silent.
Then I go into the Power Control toolbar and click the Speaker to enable silent mode - it works fine and my phone is silent.
I click it again to disable silent mode - again, it works fine and I have sound.
But when I go back into Settings > Sounds, my vibrate option is now set to "Always".
In other words, it's overriding my permanent preferences for some reason...
Does that make sense? Not sure if I'm explaining it accurately or not?
Like I said though, it's just an FYI and I'm not overly concerned about it. Am I correct that this is a 3rd party app anyway? I'll just get rid of it I think or not use the sound settings in it...
