[ROM] RvU 1.3.2 WORKING 4G!!! Sync Fixed / ROM Manager Support

Okay thanks for the suggestion! I was thinking that might be an option, but I didn't want to try anything without posting here first. That shouldn't erase my data, right? Or should I make a backup first?

nah, no wipe or anything needed. just reflash it and it should install all apps that didn't install the first time. it's also good if you ever delete apps and want a way to put em back on and you don't have the individual apks.

It shouldn't erase any of your data,it should just flash over the top without any problems. If you made a backup before flashing RvU i would keep that one if something goes wrong,i would wipe everything and start over.

^
What he said,he beat me.lol

Can I reflash it with ROM Manager? I've only flashed in recovery mode, but I've since installed ROM Manager.

I would think you could use Rom manager, but i haven't used it.I always boot into recovery and flash.Someone can chime in here about using rom manager to reflash a rom(RvU) on top itself?

yes, you can use ROM manager just fine. no need to wipe if you are just re-flashing the same ROM.

Thanks everybody! I reflashed it and all the Sprint apps are present now.

By the way, I was fully rooted before flashing the RvU ROM... Am I still fully rooted? I'm not sure how to test it and find out.

(Sorry for all these noob questions, I'm new to Android, coming from the Pre, haha. Loving it so far!)

Yes you are. If you are fully rooted you keep that as long as you don't install the OTA, or run the RUU.

Okay, has anyone run the Unrevoked OTA update? Just wondering if it works on RvU. Have been hearing you have to get to .6 instead of the .1 that RvU is on. Thanks for any heads up.

Ok, never mind. I figured it out. I'm posting this in lieu of deleting the post just in case someone else does the same thing. I has inadvertently turned off USB Debugging. That was the problem. As soon as I tuned it back on - all was normal.

Hey Guys,
I'm running the RvU ROM and everything has been working great (including 4G) with one notable exception. When I run Wireless Tether and tap to start tethering the screen goes black and just sits there. If I hit the back arrow a few seconds later I get a prompt saying "Sorry! Activity SU Request (in application Superuser Permissions) is not responding" and I have to Force Close it. Any ideas? SU works fine for Titanium Backup and ROM Manager.

two things i would do: restart the phone (i assume you probably did that one) and go into market and reinstall wireless tether. also, if all else fails you can just re-flash the rom.

i can't figure it out, but installing this ROM keeps killing my radio. i am reinstalling everything to fix my 4g after it broke with the new WiMax radio update (i got 4g working again). but when i install the ROM after using the pc36img.zip (after using pc36img.zip everything works fine) i keep having the same problem i detailed toward the start of this thread. no signal and the signal strength meter at the top only shows 4 bars instead of the normal 6 bars. it is driving me nuts that i can't figure it out and that nobody else seems to have the problem like i do. i have even installed the ROM and then flashed the radio from the first page of the thread. it won't update the radio. bah.

add:
alright, finally got it to work. i downloaded a copy from the second mirror and used that one. don't know why, but it worked.

good question. i have held off rooting and loading the rom until its uptodate. maybe i'll look into a different rom

Right now we are currently under testing with some of the following tweaks:

- OTA built-in.
- Completely unlocked CPU which includes deodexed, gumbo, & kernel tweaks.
- support for SetCPU (market download) and a non-SetCPU version
- Updated apps, i.e. Superuser, Titanium, ADW, etc.

Wipe will be necessary due to DEODEXing / OTA. So fire up Titanium Backup and save your goodies now. Cause RvU 1.4 will amaze you with battery life like never before. Real life... true story. You'd think we harmed REAL UNICORNS and RAINBOWS to make this happen. Perhaps...

Great news. I can't wait. we supprot RvU and you.

Hrm... the working version thus far is a Peep-less version that requires SetCPU (market download or search XDA for the free version, personally you should buy it cause it rocks, but whatever).

Does this still interest anyone that warrants me hosting it?
