[ROM] RvU 1.3.2 WORKING 4G!!! Sync Fixed / ROM Manager Support

Where can I get the lastest Radio?

alright, reporting back. installed the latest WiMax radio and it still breaks 4g for me. other folks may have better luck, but i would stay away from it for now.

does anyone think Sprint did this on purpose to prevent folks from using it with root (wireless tether)?

Probably not.

As an aside, I never flash a newer radio unless I am having an issue and I know said radio will fix said issue.

<Wow, that sounded fairly sophisticated, better not let that happen again>

can you host the new radios from the RUU for me? maybe flashing one of those will do me better.

At work... then flying to Vegas. Won't be available for that.

are sprint files unlocked to delete in the 2.4 rom. I am trying to remove the Sprint Navigation but its coming back....protected...any ideas?

We never moved Sprint Nav to data simply because Jerry and I use the hell outta that app.

You'd need to remove it via ADB to ensure it's really been RM'd

UTNick, big guy? What is that, some sort of fat joke?! ;)

i tried deleting it by entering the adb and i entered the following
adb shell
mount /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
cd /system/app
ls
but i still get the protected files unable to rm

EDIT

Thanks guys...I am an idiot.
I solved my own problem. I forgot that i needed to be in recovery in order to delete the files.

nah, i just picture you as a tall darth vader with a winnie the pooh face. :p

I flashed over the new radio and works good. Didn't do the wimax as I read on xda that it was breaking 4G for everyone.

i snagged this from the Damage Control ROM thread at XDA and it fixed my 4g nicely. I didn't use ADB to do it -- i just used root explorer (you can use whatever file explorer app you want i guess) to move the file instead of renaming it.

If you are stuck scanning:

go into
adb shell
ls /data/misc/wimax/

look for a file with your macaddress ending in .tree.xml. we want to move that to another location so it gets regenerated.

mv /data/misc/wimax/macaddress.tree.xml /data/misc/wimax/macaddress.tree.xml.orig

add:
i am using this radio right now. i flashed it and it's the only one that has ever worked for me. it seems to hold a 4g signal better now, too.

Nice catch. Will be sure to add a function to regenerate that file at every boot in next test version.

Thanks, but still no go for me on 4G, it just sits there and scans. I use to have pretty good signal here at the apartment not it just scans. URGH.... oh well. Thanks though.

Do this in a root explorer.(if you don't have it -- get it. It's the best I have used)

Delete the file in: data>misc>wimax (your MAC address).tree.xml. update prl and data profile and then reboot.

2 posts up seems to be the best radio currently.

Question, does titanium back up the odex files for your apps and data? If it doesn when i restore apps and user data, does it put the odex files back?
