I did exactly as you stated and I have never heard the female voice....is there a test that I can do to check that it is enabled?

Download quadrant and run a full benchmark test. If the numbers are 1300-1500 then you have voodoo. If around 900-1000, then you don't. If they aren't 1300-1500, try voodoo one more time, go to voodoo, and see what it says under next boot: (either enabled or disabled).

*Rips hair out*

2.7.1 has been yanked until i can get a proper group of beta testers together.

Sorry, I'm at work right now and don't have my usb cord with me. Can you send the link in a PM and I will try it as soon as I get home?

try flashing this:[RECOVERY] Updated ClockworkMod for ALL ROMs - xda-developers
right after you odin, the cwm that comes with that package is what I think is causing your problems

I never have used the CWM that came with the ROM I always flashed CWM-recovery-all and then tried to install the new ROM or Kernel.

I downloaded my version from that page on 2/17 and I just downloaded again from that page and still have the same result.

Thank you for the helpful suggestion though. I am really looking forward to figuring this out.

Last two times I used Odin to flash this CWM I would go into recover at blue screen. When selected to load update.zip it would bomb with an error....

If I try this again and I get the same results do I need to start over or can I get the one 2.5.1 that I am using back easily?

After you flash CWM recovery_all in ODIN, do not boot up your phone. Pull the usb from phone, put battery in phone, hold volume up, volume down, and power buttons until Samsung logo flashes for the second time, then let go of all three buttons. You should go directly to red 2.5.1.x cwm.

I've just done this, and did all wipes. Then I flashed the older sc2.6 (which I knew worked), as well as the eb16 kernel. After rebooting, I still can't get past the samsung logo. ****.

The double-logo-hold trick seemed to make the difference for me; after getting stuck at teh SAMSUNG logo I updated the CWM as you suggested and reverted to the backup and then reflashed, and it cranked into gear.

Suggestion, to DerekCA:

Apply the CWM via odin
Double-hold to get into it
Restore backup if you havent already
Apply new zip

I'm glad I got this loaded n wrkin great before it got pulled again now I feel special like the ppl who got it 2 wrk before the first pull 2.7.1 v LE lol( until its back up)

I could be wrong, but I think when you wiped data/factory reset after flashing the CWM_all you just undid your flash and reverted back to stock recovery which means you were not using the correct cwm to flash the ROM.

I went from sc 2.6 -> sc 2.7 patch -> and then the sc 2.7.1 and after I rebooted it just froze at the Samsung part......does this answer your question? Sorry if it doesn't.

I had 2.6 and then applied the 2.7.1 and was stuck at Samsung screen. Would not go past it. Started from scratch and same thing happened.

I am a noob with all of this so not sure if this is the correct steps or not. I know I get 2.6 superclean up and running fine, go to recovery, apply 2.7.1, reboot and stuck at Samsung screen.

I am going to ODIN back in time to Full Stock Froyo Leak+root+Froyo Clockworkmod EB01_DXC.tar and then try the 2.7_all ROM and see if that helps.

If that doesn't work then I am going to go back to 2.1 stock and try it from there.

If that doesn't work I am going to stomp this phone into the ground.

This is how it was for me as well.

Ok, everyone who is getting stuck at boot on the Samsung logo. Make sue if you don't already have the 2.7 ROM and the EB16 nonvoodoo kernel downloaded to your sd card that you do that. I think tnez21 may be correct and everyone needs to flash this with the most recent red cwm found here:

There are two files in the first post there. One is a zip and one is for ODIN. Download the ODIN one to your computer, turn your phone off, pull the battery, open ODIN on your computer, plug phone into pc while holding down the volume down button (with the battery still out), keep holding the volume down button past the point where the big yellow triangle appears on your phone's screen and until you see the first thin rectangle on the left side of ODIN turn yellow, then let go of the volume down button. Hit the PDA button, choose the CWM_recovery_all.tar file and hit the start button on ODIN. Should take about 7 seconds. When the thin rectangle and the box above it turn green close ODIN, pull usb cord from phone, insert battery, hold the volume up, volume down, and power buttons until you see the Samsung logo flash on the screen for a second time, then let go of all three buttons. Choose install zip from sd card, install 2.7 and EB16 Kernel, hit the menu soft button until you are back at the main red cwm menu where reboot system now will be highlighted at the top of the menu, hit the power button and wait for your phone to boot up. See if this gets you past the Samsung logo.

Ok, I got it to work for me.

I used CWM 2.5.1.x to format my SDCard. (Needed some spring cleaning anyway)
I used Odin to install EB01_DXC.tar.md5
I booted into that version
I turned off the phone
I Odin'd CWM-Recovery-All (1).tar
I copied eb16_nonvoodoo.zip and super-frankenclean_2_7_1nv.zip to my SDCard.
I booted into CWM
I installed eb16_nonvoodoo.zip
then I installed super-frankenclean_2_7_1nv.zip
I rebooted from CWM
The Samsung logo showed up for about 30 seconds and then the flashy honeycomb animation showed up and it booted into 2.7

About phone reveals:
Firmware 2.2.1
Baseband version S:i500.04 V.EB01
Kernel version 2.6.32.9
Build Number SCH-I500.EB01

Is that info correct? Should I see something about EB16?

That's all man! Glad you got it to work and it kind of supports my theory about cwm being the issue

Now I was using CWM-Recovery-All that I downloaded today to try to install this earlier when I was hanging at the Samsung logo and rebooting into recovery over and over.

The difference was formatting the SDCard. Maybe something was conflicting, or maybe it didn't like my update.zip being on the SDCard.

Or,

The other difference was Odin'ing into EB01_DXC.tar.md5 from [Odin] Full EB01/EB16 Froyo leak, packaged ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**2/27.

but whatever the reason it works now.

A big thank you to everyone for their help!
