How do I know if I am on the eb16 nv kernel w/tether module?

Edit: I think I figured it out and apparently the zoomed in weird looking blue text during flash means it worked.

I went back to stock for the time being. SC was not connecting to my wifi. Now that I am back to stock wifi works again. Any ideas? I have had this issue since at least SC 2.6.

2.6 with EB16 kernel worked for me, but when I flashed SC 2.8nv with EB16 kernel I had to flash EB01 Kernel to get Wifi working again. Flash back to EB16, broke, flash EB01 fixed.

A few people have needed to do this.

Ok, I'm one of the few people that likes the TWlauncher. I understand its not included in the Superclean rom. Any way to get it on?

Is there a step by step thread somewhere on how to load one of these patches through clockwork? I'm just starting out..

Only thing you do is download it, place it on your sd card, boot into clockword, choose Install from sd card and find the zip.

Hey guys,

I went from 2.6nv to 2.8nv (eb16 kernel). Now my battery drains super fast and looking at spare parts, I'm stuck with 100% "running."

I've done the "bstats" thing.

I guess this is the (non)sleep of death that ppl talked about in old versions?

I've never had problems until now... Any ideas for a fix?

(sorry if this was already discussed and I missed it)

Thanks!

Do you have GPS enabled? Mine is at ~8% or so for running with gps disabled. Battery life seems to be great with 2.8

Disabled my gps and "running" % dropped / batt life seemingly improved...

Thanks for the tip.

It was my experience/understanding from old versions and other roms that the gps would not suck power unless an app was actively using it (ie radar icon in nav, etc...).

Is it weird that it was preventing my phone from sleeping even though I wasn't running a gps enabled app?

Yes, that has been an unfortunate discovery in Froyo. Older OS's you could leave GPS on and it would not run unless you were running an app that used it. Now in Froyo we have found if you leave it on, it is running all the time and sucking battery. We'll see what happens when samsung and verizon finally release the official Froyo build, and the devs can put out some custom roms and kernels based off of that.
