This is exactly what I needed to get the 3G Hotspot back (I know, I'm rooted, I should just use Wireless Tether, but I have my reasons).

Thanks - so much to learn about this. ROM Manager sure makes it easy.

No problem. Rom manager does make it a lot easier to getthe stock apps back. After trying every other way to get swype back I remembered it was there, much easier.

You can put multiple roms on your sd card. Since most roms for the SF are pretty similar, I can't imagine you would want to switch alot. Maybe look at themes. There are quite a few themes on Xda now.

Anyone else notice the voice recorder app included with this ROM? Anyone notice that it requires a ****-ton of permissions (just about all of them) and could easily do something like, sense when you are making a call to your bank, record the call, and upload it to a central server? The same goes for one of the factory test apks, but those are remotely plausibly there for a reason...

Does that strike anyone else as odd?

can i do a diffrent theme a diffrent day sometimes. how do i flash it and how do i kno if i am using the 12/30 kernel is there one that is faster

The theme is a .zip file you can load in recovery. You will need the theme fix.zip as well on pg 1 of this thread if the theme is for DJ05.

You could conceivably flash a new rom every hour if you wanted but that get old after awhile. I don't think there is a automatic switch at a certain time though... You just flash when you want to change.

Only way I know of to see the kernel is to look in setcpu if you have the app. 12/30 is good. I used Test 2 of Adrynalyne's kernels in the sticky with good results and last night I flashed Test 2 voodoo Seems the same really. All are good, IMO. Some kernels work better for some phones than others. Always keep one on your sd card that works in case you get into a boot loop.

1.54 is the only one that is not labeled test. It does not support boot animation either. I had BT issues with the newer test versions and the battery was not so great. 1.98 was decent though. With 12/30 and the newer kernels out there, I would not bother. Stupidfast kernels will not be updated anymore so might as well move on, IMO.

Depends on your taste. There are a few in rom manager that are decent. I am using the Nextang theme. I like the orange accents.

Super Dark and Blackish storm are ones I have used as well. Themes are all about taste.

If you also want to unlock the power button menu and have Reboot and Recovery as options, flash this: aosp theme fix with menu unlock

I would leave them in case you ever need to reflash. Might be a case where something gets corrupted and you have to reflash the rom. They are not that big. I probably have 3-4 themes, 3-4 kernels and 5-6 roms on my sd card right now. I do some cleaning from time to time.
