I'm very new at this and it was mentioned that I have to flash cuperclean 2.4 thru red cwm.

I'm running EB01, if I do that, won't it bring me back to DI01? Also I noticed that in the instrustions to get into red cwm it says wait for the samsung logo to come up twice....mine only comes up once.....

I'm so sorry to be repetive....I'm trying to learn and reading up on everything I can. I know once I do this once or twice I will get the hang of it.

sc 2.4 is eb01. mine only flashes once. no biggie.

Hey putney. Like Gunnermike53 said, no it will not bring you back to DI01. Let's deal with the first part of your question then we'll move on to the red cwm question. Which version of EB01 did you install?

Whenever I upgrade, so long as it's the same build, I don't wipe data. Every once in a while I do backups though.

That's what I'm using, I'm just going to backup my current ROM and go for it. If it wipes it I'll restore it

Just to clarify for both of you. If you are flashing from one ROM of the same build, in this case EB01, to another there is no need to wipe. So you don't have to reinstall apps and contacts. The process of flashing from one build to another does not, in itself, wipe data. Also, I think it's safe to say the majority of us do not flash to a different build using ROM Manager, we use ClockworkMod Recovery (cwm.) In fact earlier tonight I uninstalled Rom Manager

2. wipe cache partition
3. (under advanced) wipe dalvik cache?

it only came with the lite version. lame i know. i like docs to go. there is a paid and a lite version too. theres a couple of others as well. find the one you like. all the paid versions are around $15.

That is correct, all three wipes. Wiping cache and dalvik cache do not wipe any data such as contacts, apps, sms/mms messages. If I'm doing a lot of flashing trying different combinations out (which I'm doing more of lately, thanks Gunner ) I will wipe cache and dalvik.

Grap the full eb01 file and and extract the thinkdroid.apk from system/app folder. I have to do this every time as well. Just keep it on on your sd card and then copy/paste it into system/app on the phone.

I did not think this was the same app as the lite version in the market but could be wrong. It opens everything I have ever needed.
