I have 2.6 nv on my card went back and it worked using 2.6. Thought I would try 2.7 nv again and am again getting stuck at the samsung screen

I do have questions but recently I've been able to mod and revert with few real problems. I have one issue, durring phone calls I get a noise that is hard to define but it goes away after a few seconds.

Odd. I installed nonvoodoo almost right after it was put up. I have had no issues.

Wiped D-cache, and flashed the zip. Booted fine.

yeah, voodoo is good. Installed over 2.6, forgot to wipe and everything is still running fine.

I did the install with EB01 with the bundled 2.4. How do I get to something or some function on my phone where I can the phone working again? Do I need to go through the process using Odin to boot up in a recovery method somehow?

Same here. I have not used ROM manager since using 2.2 ROMs.. I have recently installed it again to access CWM 3.

yeah through odin , and no the one with the little x does not wipe data
