Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-21

What your talking about is not a CM thing, thats stock google code. This was included in the GB source code but LG disabled it. Because it's stock code, i'll consider fixing it in the next build although i believe only the screen off animation works, not the screen on. Regarding transition animations and window animations, i will not be changing the transition style as they are already the ones included in AOSP.

EDIT - Download and flash THIS. Should have the screen off animation you were talking about plus i sped up transition animations. If you use spare parts and change window animations it will kill the screen off animation so don't do that. It's not my bug ... it's googles ;)

Remember, it's a beta, I dont have the phone, make a backup first.

what exactly am i downloading, and am i flashing it? I dont want to mess up anything on my current build i have on it, i have team hyrdos rom and drews kernel on my phone, when i do this am i going to have to re flash everything? or just flash this without clearing any caches?

OKOK, AFTER SEEING IT WAS JUST AN UPDATED VER OF YOUR GUYS ROM, IM FLASHING NOW, ILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT THE OUTCOME IS, ILL ALSO BE RE FLASHING DREWS KERNEL ON TOP OF THIS.

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-21

I backed my phone up, cleared the cache and dalvik cache. and installed the beta and drews kernel, here are the following..

This new beta took a little longer to install the sd zip than the others, stayed a little longer on the boot up screen (LG) also at the splash screen (android).
Has the screen off animation i was talking about, very nice touch to personality to those who phones run this rom, i really enjoy it.
Has all the notificatoin toggles that were realeased in the 11 21 build.
Things look smooth as with transistions.
now just to edit some files in the system with root explorer to my finishing touches on it. :)

Great job!

EDIT- Screen transistion are a little laggy and still slightly steppy when you scroll slowly.

Can you make a backup, do a full wipe including data/factory, and install the beta zip and tell me if the toggles are there? It makes absolutely no sense why the toggles would work for 1 person but not for another. From a development perspective, it's just not possible.

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-21

Who didnt get the toggles? maybe thats on their end and didnt install right.
All I did was wipe the cache and the dalvik cache, AFTER I backed up my phone, then installed the 11 22 beta, and installed drews kernel right after. Last step was rebooting my phone from the CWM.

Maybe that helps anyone that is having this issue.

OH im also coming from gelato 11 21 ROM

EDIT- and for those of you who see i said "AFTER I backed up my phone" I backed my phone up first before I wiped anything :p

You're talking about these right?
I wouldn't see how someone didn't get them.

yep, thats exactly what im talking about and im equally confused. My GF has them, my friends wife, you, all have them. I'm starting to wonder things like are these optimus Q people trying to flash this rom on their phone? I duuno .... i think theres more to the story than whats being whats being made available.

Yeah my guess is for him to start istalling the ROMs from the beginning again updating it with each release that has been already given to us. And to make sure he's not doing a complete factory and to just clear the cache and the dalvik cache. And reboot from the CWM recovery menu and not just holding down the power button. Everything went smoothly for me. Even after I edited the LCD density from the system everything kept.

EDIT: did you ask if he's an optimus q user?

Am i the only one you released this beta too? just wondering. On the final build to this you should just keep the 11 21 build and just add the screen off animation to that build. I think when you sped up the transistion animations, it made the rom a transitions laggy in some aspect, to me it seemed like the phone a little more smoother on the 11 21 compared to this 11 22 beta release.

Note* sliding from screen to screen and pop ups are lagging at good 20% more than the 11 21. 11 21 > Beta. (but awsome screen off animation)

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-21 For Virgin Mobile Optimus Slid

Anyone can download the beta. The link is posted on a public forum.

I'll probably add the screen off animation and jstntp has been working on the 3-in-1 power mod. After that the rest of Team Hydro can do whatever they want with it and I'll go back to enjoying my free time.

oh i havent seen the beta in any forums yet, thats why i asked. Yeah thatll prolly have best effects on the phone just adding the screen off animation to the 11 21 build, this beta is far to laggy, too many people would complain in my opinion, its great work, just its laggy just enough to irrate me while using the phone, (ilikemyphonessmooooth) :p
and 3-in-1 power mod? what do you mean?
and yeah im sure developing can be a headache at times. xp

I just remembered, the lag you see is from that screen off animation, not the transition change. The reason LG disables it is because a phone using the CPU to aid in UI.You cannot have that animation and have have that so to get it to work I had to enable the animation then disable the assistance ;)

Remember, you asked for it lol

Think it would help if i made the min cpu at a higher state right now its at 196 mhz with a max at 800.
and whats the 3 in 1 power mod?

No clue, don't own the phone so I can't say.

adds additional options to power menu for reboot and reboot into recovery.

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-21 For Virgin Mobile Optimus Slid

i upped the min freq to 320 and kept the max 800 mhz.
seems a bit smoother now.

Higher cpu freq = less battery but if u want the frills without lag i bet u will have to. I personally dont need an off animation. The tingly feeling i get from watching it doesnt trump the need for good battery life. This is just my personal choice tho. Im running an evo 3d and underclock it to right under 1 ghz, even tho it runs stock at 1.2 ghz.
