Is there a way to make the start u animation make a sound or make it move quicker when starting up. Rigt now when the Galaxy S logo loads on the Truly Epic Rom, the animation lags a lot and there is no sound effect?

Yes we are aware of some lag in the boot animation. The sound was removed as it irratated most people.

Hello everyone here in this blog. I love TER but I have a problem. I have a new epic because the last one got crushed at work. I have been looking for a good DK28 the one that I have lags a lot in my new epic. I rooted the new phone but TER lags as well. I know TER is not the problem because it ran great in my old phone. Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

A lot of people have problems with bluetooth and Froyo. Fixing it seems to lie in the naming of the device - you'll have to play around with it.

What do you mean by naming of the device (phone or device I am pairing to)? I too have seen BT issues ranging from music cutouts on the Motorola S9-HD's to lack of connection with my Zephr HxM. Usually toggling BT on/off fixes it, but annoying nonetheless. If it is something simple such as naming I am open to try it.

Has anyone had issues with dropping calls or when trying to call having to make a couple attempts to actaully get it to ring? I just rooted and using the mini theme 1.5. Thank you for any help with this issue.

I did before I posted it said nothing about the Hulu app in landscape mode. It looked as if Rag just answered the second half mjbelknap's question about the browser:

Are they referencing the Hulu app as a browser?

I'm not sure about the app, but I know you can view landscape mode using your web browser and hulu.com.

i am having problems with receiving mms. someone sends me a pic and instead of the pic i get a button that says download. then i click that it says "download of message new message from XXX was unsuccesful"

im not on wifi or 4g and i am using the trulyepic beta.

* i also can't send any pics, it just says sending...


anyone have any ideas ?

---ok for giggles i flashed the bubble sms and now everything works. i hate the bubbles though. if anyone can tell me why the no-bubble doesn't work i would love to switch back.

Does anyone knows what is the name of the app to uninstall the sprint hotspot?

Since I installed the sprint apps I canot receive mms / picture msgs do not work.
I get a download error.

It's because you restored a backup that is causing conflicts. Neither I nor my beta tester (Paul627g) have ever had this problem.

not sure what is happening really, thanks btw i didn't know the restore could also restore the whole thing I'll keep it noted! ty, so basicaly i could make a backup of different roms( if i get to use any other ones) and not having to reinstall them as base? cool!

About LauncherPro, what i did was, Market _search_LauncherPro-Install-Restart phone

Then im greeted with the Lil android being poked,plus a FC screen that launcherpro failed, then i gotta put my gmail account ect..
I could record this if u want me to?
But this is what happend, then the vanilla launcher that comes with TER
got a reset from all this, and the icon's and widgets where removed .
Is this normal? or it shouldn't have happened? because this never happened to me in stock eclair.
I haven't tried it yet, but possibly after installation i gotta place LauncherPro as a DefaultLauncher then restart the phone?
hmm gonna try it later on if thats the case.

Thanks for the information. Yeah I did have to start back at the little green android and sign back into my google account. However, I'm still not sure if Launcher pro was the problem to all the resetting since it's so far reset once since I uninstalled launcher pro and also I'd been using launcher pro for a couple of weeks prior to any problems. But this is definitely worth a try. I'll let you know if this works. Thanks again!

Rag - Just as an FYI I've never created or restored a backup. All my data lives safely in the cloud; I have no important "on-phone only" app data.

This appears to have just happened randomly. I agree with others that I don't think Launcher PRO is the issue. Almost all of my apps were FC'ing after the setup wizard returned.

The second time this happened to me, I didn't re-flash TER, I was able to remedy any FC'ing apps by clearing all data in the application settings then uninstalling/re-installing the app.

It seems like something is causing a corruption between the phone and it's application data.... which is why even though my programs were still loaded, EVERYTHING was set back to default settings (including every app).

It's been almost a week and a half with no issues now. Yay!

I know you and Paul haven't been able to reproduce this but wanted to keep the lines of communication open! Thanks again!

Ok i'm having a problem with the computer recognizing the phone, it was working earlier today the only change i made to the phone was adding voicemail. any ideas?

Is it recommended to change the Wifi sleep policy to never with this ROM for battery saving purposes? Is the airplane mode trick necessary with TER?
