I already installed the ROM, but I think I had already backed up some stuff before installing back when I first installed the Bootstrapper I'll have to check. Otherwise, can someone make a backup we can use?
the marketplace wasn't working. had no way to open or uninstall apps. i think 1.4 was what i had.

i flashed 1.5 as well. Can't find anything wrong at the moment. I did not however remember to make a nandroid backup of my stock rom, grrrrr.
Same here, anyone else notice that the battery settings are GONE? There's nothing that says battery in the settings menu now.

Yeah I flashed 1.6 last night too. He's getting faster, and better. I like the additions, and that he added back the stock music app so I can play music in the car. If the google music app worked with the lockscreen and shock I'd be happy to use it. And it's nice to see battery settings back lol. The switches in the notification bar are the best, I just wish we could customize them
Hey guys.. been following this one but hesitant as I've not yet ROMed before so I want to make sure I got a great reason for going through with it 
Wanted to know if there is anything that is not working on this ROM (current version 1.7).. Like for example I saw that in earlier versions bluetooth wasn't working and I wans't sure if that was fixed. Anything else that isn't there yet? How has data connection been for those who have installed? Voice connection? Everything running smooth?
Also would like to know if the ROM currently incorporates any of the fixes supposedly coming with the OTA update or if the developer has fixed them on his own... Specifically the "vanishing app" issue, I try to be patient with this but sometimes it really drives me nuts that I have apps disappearing and reappearing at completely random times and intervals. If that hasn't happened to you with your bionic then god bless you, but I'd like someone who had the issue to sound off on whether its been fixed with this current ROM.
And anything else that stands out as performing better or worse than before installation. I see that according to the instructions posted by wseyler up above, follow them and you will not lose any apps, settings, etc.. I am guessing same for contacts and all that other stuff, correct? I linked up all my contacts to their facebook entries and stuff and would hate to lose that. How about Market performance? Any issues accessing the Market or receiving updates for your apps?
I know a bunch of Q's but I'm just really curious to get into this, especially if it will fix some of the issues I've got with the phone, and want to make sure I'm well informed of the potential problems I may run into. I'm sure with each new update the developer is going to be fixing even more, etc so just sound off on whats up with 1.7 and I'll be keeping close tabs on all his updates. Thanks a bunch guys!

Everything is working, I haven't had any issues with v1.7. I had some with some older versions (mostly that he removed some stuff but ended up adding it back because people wanted it back) but so far this version is awesome. I haven't had any issues with anything, text messaging, calls, everything works. I haven't tested bluetooth, but I'm sure he fixed it.
Well I have seen less apps vanishing...lol. Tetris is the only thing that ever randomly disappears so far, sometimes. And he said as soon as he's got any of the new OTA update that he'd be incorporating it into the ROM ASAP.
I've flashed every version since 1.3 now, and haven't had any issues with app or contact loss. Everything carries over. I did factory reset yesterday though...I was playing with replacing the camera app a few versions ago and the camera didn't show up in my app drawer anymore. He's trying to fix it right now, just make sure your MD5 hash is correct and you'll be fine.
I switched to the ICS Market, so I couldn't tell you lol. But all my apps did redownload when I factory reset everything.
But in general, this ROM has become more and more smooth, it was a bit chunky in the earlier versions, but his retooling is paying off. I love the drop down switched in the notification bar, and the theme is awesome (and is interchangeable, but I like the black theme) Go ahead and flash it, it's awesome.
Much thanks KillerG.. ah so tempted.. Might go for it later. I only just got the TeamBlackHat app.. Always like to take my time with these things and make sure other people figure out the bugs/problems first, lol. I'm sure I'll go for this sooner or later..
Oh hey, also any comments on battery life.. I think the tweaks in the ROM were supposed to bring improvements to battery life, anything noticeable on your end?
the only issue i was having previously was that when i was on wifi, the market would not work for me at all. it always just said loading. now it works fine. i havent wiped my battery stats in a week or two so i havent actually checked it since v 1.4 or so but it seems to last longer than even that version.
I think I've been having about the same battery life...I'm not sure. But it's not WORSE so that's a good thing.
just put on 1.7 after using 1.4... In pocket detection acts funny... Just turn it off and ur all good... They included the widvet switches in the pull down which is sweet
i see the page has changed and now it's called blurred something. and there is some sorta UI addon along with powerboost.
