[ROM][WIP][4.4.2] CyanogenMod 11 KitKat for Optimus S/V

I'm curious about the dpi as well. I've noticed that a LOT of times, you can NOT rotate the phone sideways to trigger the screen to go into Landscape Mode. This gets annoying when you can't look at videos on the full screen or type more comfortably.

It's a WIP. Work In Progress.
To even go from source code for an Optimus One to a working ROM for the S/V in such a short time is phenomenal.
skinbark did a awesome job, with the help of bigsupersquid and thekraven.
Now is the really slow part of the WIP. Working out all the deep major and minor bugs.
It might take a few months to get everything worked out, but their working on it.

I'm not bothered by the rotation not always working, this is still in alpha status after all. I just really enjoyed the extra screen real estate this Rom gave me and I'd like to use that dpi setting on other Roms as well. I'll dig into the build.prop to see what it is, I just thought it was a simple question with a quick answer.

I think Andie may have been referring more to ShinkenRed using CAPS, as this is considered shouting (though it was not excessive). Just my observation, he also used the
word "annoying". No judgement here, just trying to analyze.
Devs can maybe get maternal over their ROMS, they did after all take the same amount of time to work on them as a pregnancy. I remember when the original "Kit Kat?" post started. It's probably been over a year. Plus, just since the first release, I think it's been around last august, if memory serves correctly.I think Brotherswing, that your comment was fine. Maybe a bit more details on what exactly you ran through as a process to find the bug, but it's a fine comment.

Ok. I have put this off for to long. :D. What should I safely be able to remove as I have no service to maximize storage? Never been sure on this.

system/app/LatinIME.apk
/system/lib/libjni_latinime.so
for starters. you'll hafta install a keyboard after that, but it'll go to /data.
look in leslieann's sticky at the top of the V rooting roms and hacks forum about what's safe to remove for more tips.

I took the plunge and tried this today, but my experiment was cut short when I saw the battery wasn't charging. I have an LS670 and charging works fine with Mirage 7.2 07132013 build.

I've been monitoring this thread since the beginning don't recall seeing this issue before. Any advice on how to fix or troubleshoot this charging problem?

kernel battery code problem.
no fix since it's been hard to find many people with the issue.
can you connect through cable as card reader or with adb?
you want to troubleshoot, use terminal app.
first, plug in cable, wait 5 seconds, unplug
open terminal
Code:
su
dmesg > /storage/sdcard0/dmesg.txt
exit
exit
get dmesg.txt open on PC, select all, copy, open pastebin.com in browser, paste into blank, submit it, post the link here. dmesg a little big to quote.

When is the langauge fix patch or next release candidate going to be out?

I just flashed the latest build..Booted up nicely...But i have NO ENGLISH language option...Did i go wrong somewhere?

Noticed if you install ROM without Gapps, let it load, then reboot back into recovery and install Gapps, reboot. You should have full english.

Doesnt support droidsansfallback.ttf emoji font ? anyone know why ?

No way it's 50 Mb in system... I only have one Mb left after skinny Gapps on my OV.
you probably have to adb push or root file manager the libs into the right place. libemoji is in the build, but so are live wallpapers, and neither show up in the install zip.
probably a size issue in the build. I will look for the file and where.
View attachment libemoji.so.zip
unzip it and push to /system/lib. It's way under a Mb and it got in there ok, but didn't do anything for me.

I partitioned my sd card on my OS and after my 5 neccesary apps i had about 40-50 mbs . I also deleted unneccesary files .

Are there any system apps that I can remove because int storage is very low? Or do you have any alternatives to increase storage?

Also which themes perform the best on this rom?

http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...mod-11-kitkat-optimus-s-v-18.html#post3434220 LatinIME is the biggest. Browser is pretty big too.
You can remove the apps from /system/app and install them with ADB or the file manager to move them to /data and free your /system space for CrossBreeder or whatever.
to increase storage the easy-to-install solution would be mounts2sd from Play. It's supposed to handle system and user apps both.
