Did the full wipe and flash and still cant download from the market once apps are restored from titanium backup. I stillget the insufficient space message. This also happened on the last verision of the kraven rom i used prior to this one. Seems the marketfix app doesn't even help. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Don't restore any apps from titanium. I know this is the whole reason to use an app like that, but it has been known to cause issues like these in the past. What you need to do is start fresh again with a clean flash, then manually download each app from the market and then you can restore DATA ONLY from Titanium. If you experienced said issue on kravens Rom as well then your issue is titanium.

oh, oops, thanks for posting this cause I've just been restoring apps from titanium this morning! I haven't had any issues from it yet, though. and like a moron the last backup I made in recovery was made with stock gingerbread so I guess I'll revert and reflash the rom?

also, can I flash a boot image from here on this rom?

Yes you can flash those bootanimations, they won't change the "Team Hydro" animation you see first though, they will only change the "Android" one.

I have ZVH and just flashed to Your Mom. I like other launcher docks like Go Launcher that have customizable icons (and more than 2). Are we able to use Go Launcher with Your Mom's ROM?

Quoting myself because i figure this was lost as the last post of the previous page.

Seems like some people are using ROM Manager to flash Your Mom. I thought our roms were not compatible with CWM?

Appreciate the help. Did a clean wipe and flash to start this arduous process but it seems now my Google account is having trouble communicating with Google. I keep getting could not login to Google talk and my new marketplace error says "could not download app as an error has occurred." This is before even downloading anything. I have since reflashed and wiped twice to no success. Not sure why I'm having so many problems. :(

I posted pretty much this same post over in the gingerkernel v8 thread as well, but wanted to say the same here:

I just had to jump in and say thank you for this! I'm a noob to rooting/ROM's/etc, but was able to root, flash the YourMomRom and Gingerkernel, and I absolutely swear that my Optimus is literally like 5x faster than it was just hours before I did all this (no joke - literally like 5 times faster). I had the stock Gingerbread with the issues/etc that was overloaded with apps/all the Sprint bloatware/only like 18mb free internal data at any given time/etc, now this thing is flying!

Thanks again for you and the rest of the good folks who keep everything updated for "all things Android!"

Funny thing is that I was so fed up with the Optimus lately after the gingerbread rollout that I ordered a used Evo 4g from Ebay and gave it to my wife to put under the tree for me for xmas (after verifying the ESN and the phone itself were all good). Now I'm debating if I even need the Evo come xmas... lol - I guess it'll just be "even better".

I'm now getting "hooked" on doing this kind of stuff - despite the fact that all I really know at this point is how to follow your directions... lol.

If I install YourMom-reboot-plusCRT-ICS-noIQ.zip can I then toggle between the CRT and ICS animations? I like the CRT one but would like to see the ICS.

The mod includes both. Crt is screen off animation and the ICS is the screen transitions.

I'm using go launcher and go locker with the rom :) no problems. I imagine many people use alternate launchers since 2 custom spots on the dock isn't enough, at least for me after being used to 4 on reborn.

I'm really enjoying using the rom more and more as I've been playing with it today, so thanks again for your hard work, team hydro!

Glad you like it..... don't forget to flash the reboot mod in post #3 for a little spice if you haven't already.

I switched from OTA 2.3 to Your Mom today, and I seem to have lost the ability to control notifications for gmail and SMS separately. With my previous setup, I could set a notification sound/ringtone for incoming SMS messages but still have gmail be silent -- now, it's all or nothing. Can anyone point me toward a fix -- perhaps a way to revert to the stock sounds/notifications control panel? Thanks!

I was wondering about this, but thought it was something that I hadn't come across when looking around in settings yet, and I've had my phone on silent for work today so I wasn't really needing sms notification noises, anyway. so I second this question!

I had the opposite... SMS was fine but Gmail wasn't making a noise.

Turns out a post in another forum pointed me toward modifying Gmail notifications:

Go into Gmail. click Menu button -> More -> Select your Account.
Scroll down to "Labels to Notify", select it.

Here, you can choose labels/folders (For me, I just have Inbox) and change its ringtone/notification/vibration.

This solved my issue. Hope it helps!

Open Gmail and press menu>more>settings>youremail.gmail.com. From there scroll all the way down and you can turn off notifications. Or use the instructions from the post above this one.

Open the stock messaging app and press menu>settings and scroll down to the bottom where you can choose your sound/ringtone for incoming sms. You can also choose to not be notified of incoming sms.

Your Mom has been built off the stock ZVH software, it has the same settings menu, gmail, and sms messaging that is found with stock, minus the privacy menu to avoid the accidental bricks.

Ive been using Roms from here for quite some time now. Many thanks to all the Devs for their time and effort put into them. Ok now that that is done, I noticed the other day when I went to UOT kithen to create my usual customs that when I flashed the zip, it cancelled out the power button drop down recovery/reboot mod. So I reflashed the recovery mod it took off my custom battery icon mod. All of the other mods were fine. I use custom icons, fonts, battery icons, and boot animation. I tried several times of reflashing. If I flash UOT first it removes the recovery/reboot mod, if I flash that one first it removes my battery icon mod. I finally just took the battery icons out of the UOT zip and inserted them into the reboot/recovery mod's zip. The biggest reason I bring this up though is that if I flashed the UOT second and push the power button the phone would pause then do a reboot and then upon rebooting there would be a black line that went verticle across notification bar and there would be nothing there. No battery, clock, signal, or 3g icons. Anyway I was able to fix it by doing what I said, just thought I would make you aware of it. Thanks again for all you do.

That sounds like a UOT problem, not an issue with the ROM.
