There should be a change log on Bonsai's website with the ROM features.
If you want visual changes, then you need to flash a theme. Take a look at the Froyo mod sticky or theme threads in this forum for download links.

Paul.... just curious maybe I'm missing something... what makes Bonsai a great rom over stock? I don't see any visual changes or anything that stands out. ..? Am I missing something? And they went with the worst launcher...

Great, I was just expecting something like features of Cyanogen or something, but what I am getting from all this is that these ROMS are more faster and battery efficient. One thing i dont like about this ROM has to be the fact that they took away the clock on the top bar.Your not really going to see much in the way of visual changes in either Bonsai or SRF ROMs. Both are top notch and they have kept theme realitively stock aside from adding battery mods and custom boot animations. They have gone in and removed most bloat but the real secret spices lie inside these ROMs what they have done with the coding and kernels to make them so stable and efficient ROMs.
Launchers, that can be easily changed by the user. Just hit the Market and grab you launcher of choice. Bonsai went with Zeam due to it being lightweight and still having some nice speed and having customizing abilities.
Themes are the key these days to customizing any ROM to your tastes. Froyo EC05 has roughly somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 dozen or more themes to choose from. We have many listed in our INDEX sticky thread for EC05 based ROMs.
Hope this all helps.
Yes many have commented on this, I think this is just one of those little characteristics about Bonsai that gives them their own little "identity" sorta speak. I will look around, I think I remember seeing a restore for this someone recently.Great, I was just expecting something like features of Cyanogen or something, but what I am getting from all this is that these ROMS are more faster and battery efficient. Ok so now i moved on to another theme for EC05 but once i try to download it, it give me a "This content is not supported on the phone" message...? am I doing something wrong? Man this seems more troublesome to do than my old rooted Evo.Aw dang it... I was looking forward to getting this...
Paul how can I go back to stock Rom? I cant figure out how to download another ROM, when I try to it says content on phone not supported, when I try through my Mac, my computer wont recognize my Epic as a mass storage even after checking USB debugging, and i tried 3 different USB cables and 2 different ports. I am just fed up, flashing roms was not as hard on the Evo, so I just want to go back to stock but rooted with Bonsai... please help.![]()

Once rooted with that you can then switch out to CWM 3.1.0.1 purple which most of the ROMs are recommending now by a simple flash in CWM to switch.
Bonsai for Android | (registration is free) then you can look up the Bonsai Master Key Unlocker for MAC/OSx systems.

If you put the files in the lowest folder on your drive (should be named after the main user of the computer), then when you open up terminal you won't have to navigate anywhere - you'll automatically be in the right folder.
HELP!!! I just rooted my phone using the system described in this post. The rooting went off without any problems (superuser loaded, etc...). Then trouble hit. I tried to change the file system to EXT4. I backed up my rooted phone using Titanium Backup and then installed the ext4converter.zip and Bonsai SPH-D700 v4.1.3.xip file on my SD card. I powered the phone off as described and turned it back on using Volume Down, Camera, Power Button. It came up with the SAMSUNG screen and I can't get it off. What exactly do I do now. The instructions say to "re flash" the ROM and I'm not sure what that means. I've bitten off more than I can chew. Any help would be appreciated.
