how do you know it switched to EXT? my phone was good all day, i just went to boot into clockwork. and its converting something automatically
Do you think the new version of the genocide kernel is compatible with EB13?
But when I got back to the Clockwork screen with the orange text, I did a restore and it asked me if I wanted to restore before the EXT4 conversion...just finished rebooting now to see what happens

But it never reboots...just hangs.
Hit your back key and it should bring up the menu to go back, then get to the reboot prompt and select reboot.
Yes many of them do. I would proceed cautiously on this... Go one at a time and make a backup in CWM so you can restore if a flash starts throwing out FC's...Did step 1 last night before step 2 was out. Worked perfectly. did step 2 today and again, went perfectly. Now where can I go to get some cool mods to flash? Will the ones that I used for the Dk28 ext4 version work?
I did...
Try doing a battery pull or soft reset (volume up+camera+power) and try letting it reboot and see what happens... You may have to Odin back and try again. I've had to do it a few times myself because for some reason or another things just go wrong and trust me I've flashed more than I want to remember!

And I spoke too soon. I flashed Dk28 back in early January and did the whole ext4 conversion thing. But a couple weeks ago, I started having a problem with the status bar telling me that "usb connected" and "usb debugging connected." The only way to get it to stop giving me the messages is by plugging it into at least charger and when I unplug it stops temporarily, or by turning off usb debugging. Also, if I tried to reset, the device would act as if it were charging while turned off (half full or empty battery graphic). Well, I didn't notice that problem at all today before the ext4 conversion (usb debugging was left checked) and now I'm getting the same messages in the status bar. In case it's rellevent, I first noticed this problem after plugging into my buddy's mac and hastily unplugging it when his pos wouldn't recognize it.
I haven't seen this problem posted anywhere and have yet to ask any questions about it, but I figure if someone here can't help me, then I'm sure not to have any luck at the sprint storee
Please help!
I'll try this once more, if it doesn't work I'll just stick with the first half...
Do you know if the TrulyEpic Rebirth v1.2 zip works?
I actually noticed the same problem when I was on EXT4. Might be an existing bug that needs to be fixed.
Did you flash the deodexed ROM immediately after rooting?
SUCCESS! I don't know what I didn't do before...but it worked this time around.

Just rooted for the first time(nervously). I downloaded Titanium Backup and all that happens is the following. A box opens up, that allows Access or Deny. That's it. Is that normal, supposed to happen? Just trying to make sure I am rooted! THANKS!
Enjoy sandman! BTW, anytime you use a "root required" application it will always prompt you the first time to accept or deny access. All the programs you have root access to will be listed in an app in your application list called "SuperUser". Just for future reference.Thank you to this FORUM! Now, tether, remove bloatware, well you know the rest!!!
