Rooting question (2.2)

I have some questions before rooting my N1 running the pre-release 2.2.
1- To root using quickrooter, do I rename the folder update.zip and flash it?
2- If I rooted my N1, can I flash future updates, or does it require extra steps?
3- if I do flash future updates, I will be able to receive future OTA updates? (Rooted -> flashed official update, will I get future OTAs?)
4- Do I need to unlock my bootloader to use quickrooter?

I'm kind of new to this myself, but I just rooted my 2.2 N1 using superboot and I would guess you have to unlock your bootloader and probably flash your own updates.
