Hi, Eric, I think you might be on to something here. What if they completely forgot about the code branch for the RS988? I have no doubt that our targeted messages helped. Now, we keep pushing for Nougat!!

I was so happy for a moment ,oh LG why you do this to us, i was a happy lg customer ,always went with lg since the G2 , my next Smartphone wont be from LG ,im so dissapointed from them.

I am going to give it till early February as that is when they said an update would come out, i am pretty sure they rushed the security update to give us something and give them some time to finish the full update,

I am extremely disappointed with this, but it is the only flagship with a removable battery. O wait, they are taking that away and making it identical to samsung? You just lost the last of the tec and feature lovers.


You can not have this kind of service and no distinguishing feature.

I agree the camera and removable battey were the things that made me choose this over the Moto G5 Plus. If they take the removable battery in the next versions and dont support them well nothing will distinguish LG from other brands.
Im not pleased this is not how a flagship item should be supported. Im going to start asking again after the 2nd week of febuary where is my Nougat if I dont get it.

No we only got updated from the July 2016 security update to January 2017 security update. No 7.0 yet. Still on 6 but at least its more secure.

Since the 2017-01 update, I am having timezone issues. Arizona time, whether selected automatically or manually, is showing as MST. It displays MST in phone settings, as well as showing future calendar appoints off by an hour (google calendar).
Just in case anyone in AZ hasnt applied this update yet.

I'm not from Arizona or anything but I believe Phoenix area is currently in MST
