Rumor authorized Verizon retailors to get bionic 08/12

It would be cool if there were a way to show the same thread in 2 forums. I know there are a lot of people that bounce back and forth between the SGS2 forum and this one (myself included).

We could have a thread for discussions comparing the 2 and discussions revolving around both phones and not have to bounce back and forth.

A $299 price tag? Ouch. But then it's Verizon and it's an LTE and I suspect Verizon may try to push this as their flagship LTE device. I just hope Verizon doesn't botch this. I'm also wondering if Motorola held back a little bit on the Droid 3 in order to keep it a notch or two below what they expect the Bionic to be (better screen, better camera sensor, etc.).

$299 should not be surprising to anyone. This is how Verizon has been pricing most of their LTE devices. Look elsewhere and you'll see some good deals, though. Costco usually chops off $50.

I'm going to wait a little bit anyway. I want to see some solid reviews before I commit to the Bionic. I don't have very high expectations for the battery life, given that it will be an LTE device, but if it's at least better than the other LTE options I'll be happy. Plus, if I wait long enough, I might be able to get a decent deal to go along with Labor Day.

I don't get it. She must not like you or you guys aren't that close. There's no way any of my cousins or other family members would keep something so important to me a secret. It's not like you'd use her name when you posted the info. You could even PM or email the info to someone else to post for you so there'd be no way to trace it back. It's almost unbelievable.

I would just move on. She's obviously clueless and has no idea. Very few know the actual release date.

Even those close to the project are not absolutely sure.

Before my cousin got the managers job there my really good friend managed this store and was let go for stuff he did. She doesn't want his same fate she has said several times. I am sure this is why no information is being given out. I was in sam's yesterday i asked about the bionic. The guy stated he saw paper stateting an aug. release but cold not find it. So he goes over to a computer and googles the bionic. Shows how much they really know. lol
