Noticed today when using my S pen there is a quarter inch tall part of the screen all the way across that my S pen will not be recognized by the screen and it jumps over. I rebooted and tried in multiple applications all still same results.

Thinking unit is bad but want opinions as I really don't want to go through the hassle of swapping out if I can help it

Can you get a picture then use microsoft paint to draw a rectangle over the area you are referring to? I have not come across this

Pictures won't really work best way to describe it is when the pen reaches this quarter inch "strip" that goes across the screen the pen skips over it like it's jumping over a ditch.

I have not either. I don't race the pen either, but haven't had that ever. Interesting.

Are you using a case that has a kickstand? Just for chits and giggles I opened the note app and moving the S pen around and noticed it will jump near the magnet when the kickstand is closed. Works fine when it's out. That's on the Seido Active case anyway.

This was my thought. The seidio surface I had would do the same thing in the lower left corner where the magnet was.

Any updates on the pen skipping band? I just noticed my note 2 has the same issue. Basically the pen skips back and forth over a quarter inch band that runs from the top of the screen to the bottom. It's almost like a dead zone.

Just wondering if fishman33185 finally had to replace his note 2?

Thanks, John

Hi

any news on this?
I have the exact same problem.
I tryed all the know things.. tweaking the S pen sensitvity, slamming on to a hard surface, bought a new spen.

but still the problem remains.
i have a band of aproximatly 1 cm that the spen skips over.. in the $@#$@#$@ middle of my screen...

any help would be greatly appreciated!

best regards,
Paul

For my phone this is the result of using a magnetized phone case. I've tested several times whenever I remove my case the s pen works perfectly.
