hey all,

i'm trying to figure out how to use the reminder settings in S Planner when i add an item to the calendar.

first thing i noticed when i open S Planner, there's only an Add option for events; when you add an event, you can only set the name, start/end times, location and toggle the 'all day' option. should there be a reminder setting here that i'm not seeing?

i can see the reminder setting (plus others that i'm not seeing) on other phones that have an earlier version of Android, so maybe it has something to do with Lollipop 5.0.2? i read about changes to some stock Samsung apps, but didn't see anything specific about S Planner.

any help is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Android Central!

Have you tried tapping show more options?

no options that i can see.. i open S Planner and i have Add and Search. if i tap Add, i can Cancel and Save.

weird right? i've seen screenshots of the app that look different than mine, including the reminder setting.. so i'm a bit confused.

anything to do with Lollipop? does anyone else with the S6 have this issue?

With 5.1 you have the option to have s finder and quick connect visible or not. Pull down notification bar and click on more. Then you can check and uncheck them.

not sure what this has to do with s planner?

I noticed tasks-view is not found in S-planner anymore after Lollipop update. Old tasks are there and can make new ones, but cannot view them all in the list as used to be able with Kitkat.

so does anyone know how i can solve my issue with the reminder setting? seems like a pretty basic thing that i should be able to find.
maybe i'm not looking in the right place? would it be somewhere else in the phone settings?

In the Lollipop (Android 5.0) Samsung device (Note 3), there is "Reminder" setting right after "All Day [ ]".
Also there is [View more options] button.

nope, all i have is the All Day toggle switch, then Start/End Times below that. i'm on the S6 edge.

Hi,

If you go into S Planner on s6 edge, at the top you have the month and year on the left hand side, (that's if you have the month view). Click on that, then you have a drop down, and tasks is at the bottom. to get back to the calendar, do the reverse, click on tasks then month. Ur tasks can be viewed on the calender as well. I found all this out by accident. Hope this helps! All I need now, is to find a way of increasing the duration of the snooze function on the alarm clock from 5 mins to 15, and increase the amount of times you can snooze! Lol! :P

Thanks, but all I have is the current month view, Sep 2015 at the top, buttons for previous and future months on either side. I can't figure out how to change this view, help?

Hi there

I have exactly the same problem as you; there IS no reminder option (and no "more options" button either). After setting the event, you just have the opportunity to toggle on/off the "all day" box, but that is all. My previous phone (a S3 mini) had a reminder which I used on a daily basis.... so it's not us being thick... it's just that something has changed!!

Please could you let me know whether you resolved this issue. Having reminders on a calender seems a pretty basic ask to me....

Thanks !

Completely agree, I don't get this either.. no, I haven't resolved this yet, I gave in awhile ago and started using Google calendar, which does work nicely. Still, I'd like to understand why this is happening.

Do you have an S6 edge? What version of lollipop are you on?

It's actually an S5 Mini which my Dad has just bought; not sure what version of lollipop but will check when I next see him. Awkward as I recommended the phone to him and have set it all up for him apart from reminders which he really needs.

I've just started a new thread on the same topic in the hope that someone out there will know!

Thanks for your reply. If ever I find out, I will let you know!

Not sure if this is what you're looking for - but when in S Planner Monthly Calendar view .. at the bottom of the screen there is a tab to pull up a pane that display "events" and "tasks". Tasks can be edited from this pane.

(I'm using Note 5).

Thanks, but I don't have any option at the bottom of the screen when viewing the month, only Add and Search.. I don't even know if there's a way to switch the calendar view; I've looked and found nothing so far..

Here is a screenshot of what I see at the bottom of my calendar.

If I pull upwards on the calendar from the red arrow - this is what I see. The display in that pane changes depending on the date selected in the upper pane.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with the latest updates installed. (Perhaps your version is different.)
