I have been reading this thread for two days and its been very helpful.
Looking for guidance, please

Seeing a week old brand new AT&T S20+ locally for sale at a great price. Owner claims it was unlocked by AT&T.

-Assuming I follow all the instructions here and then substituting G986U1 for G988U1 as described above, will I end up with a Tmobile Magenta boot up screen and all Tmobile features such as WiFi calling, VoLTE, 5G etc?

-And if for some reason the AT&T phone was not unlocked, am I unable to use it with Tmobile SIM, even after flashing?

Even if you flashed to the unlocked firmware won't unlock it, needs to be sim unlocked first by original carrier , I would contact the seller.

Even if you flashed to the unlocked firmware won't unlock it, needs to be sim unlocked first by original carrier , I would contact the seller.

I thought that was the case, that's why I asked. I could try the Tmobile SIM in it before purchasing to see if it works to make a call.

Use Odin, download stock Tmobile firmware and I end up with a Tmobile Magenta boot up screen and all Tmobile features such as WiFi calling, VoLTE, 5G etc? Including OTA updates from Tmobile?

I read through this entire thread and I think I am capable enough to try and fix my issues. i was wondering if there is an all inclusive writeup for this? I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra phone that is originally a Verizon Phone. I currently have ATT first net service. i would like the ATT build for this phone so my wifi calling and visual voicemail will work. I have downloaded the Frija tool and I am trying to find a download link for the other. Any help would be appreciated. Mustang 7757 seems to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable and I am hoping he will see this old thread.

Let me tag @Ruben Ocasio he gets the Att firmware as there not available in safirm or Frija , otherwise flash T-Mobile firmware should get it .

Thank you. Would you by chance have a step by step tutorial? I have never done this flashing but I have done other root stuff years ago. I have performed a couple different backups just for safety. I tried to save a few hundred dollars buying this verizon phone but it has been a headache with my calls taking forever, my voicemail not working and overall signal not being great. I would love to have the ATT stuff back on my phone. I appreciate all the help and will await the response and hopefully the ATT user data file.

Hi, yeah do the the unlocked version , for some reason verizon models are strange even being sim unlocked.

Just the 4 files , user date leave alone
You will need odin prince comsey to get the unlocked firmware , which u can download from XDA , and back up everything as it will factory reset . https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/patched-odin-3-13-1-t3762572

It may be that your card isn't 5G capable if it's an older card.

...oh, and I see you didn't flash the TMO firmware.
