S20 Firmware For Odin Flash?

Ok lol I hear you ..let me know tomorrow

Morning. Back at it. So ive been playing around with all these firmwares. The last attempt last night i tried an XAS file with the 986u csc. Looks like i have wifi calling and 5g. weird thing is in settings under mobile connections think there was supposed to be a setting for 5g. I dont see one. Not sure if it matters.
My whole reason to flash was i wasnt getting updates from att. So if i were to still flash the 986u would i still not get updates?
If i flash the 986u1 assume i would manually install them through samsung?
The more i flash the more confused and aggravated i get lol.

also if i use lets say 986u1 firmware and use 986u csc, does the firmware have to match? As far as the date

Gmorning,
If you flash to att , no guarantee it will correct itself and start updating again .

As for the XAS CSC file you flashed on the unlocked version it might not have the option for 5G toggle , as Att version doesn't either.

You want use the firmware as close as possible to the dates you flashed otherwise can fail. But don't be alarm as you can just download correct date and flash or reflash stock csc.

It looks confusing and does get tiring, but your learning a lot and can update to either firmware carriers or unlocked , this is good because you don't need to depend on anyone if a situation arises or something gets crazy just flash the stock files ..

Exactly, you learn a lot by your own trials and testing , If you get stuck just let me know but it's nice to learn something different . Your welcome!

I'm trying. If I use the cache from 986u in anything I try is that what you mean by flashing to att? I want to manually upgrade when I have to incase I have the same issue as before with not getting any updates.
And I didn't notice also I assume if I use the csc from 986u that's what the model will show in about phone? As opposed to 986u1

What I mean if you try reflash the stock Att firmware maybe it go back to update schedule again , but not guaranteed.

ATT FIRMWARE are hard to get , usually Ruben can get those.

If I were you , I grab carrier firmware like Tmobile and each month wait for the new update to flash and use home csc so it won't factory reset and you be good going forward.

Im on unlocked Note 20U with my AT&T sim and I get 5G in certain areas.

Just remember if you go between Carrier to Carrier firmware Home csc shouldn't factory reset, same with unlocked firmware to firmware
But if you mix the carrier on either Carrier firmware or unlocked it possible could factory reset .

Afternoon. Sooo I went back to the 986u1 and used 986u csc. Everything works but no wifi calling. You know what, I can live without it.
Only question is i have an update available. I assume since I do it's from att. So if I update I should not have to worry about reflashing the 986u csc correct?

That update will break , you used file from 98u csc on unlocked firmware, don't take the update, you'll have to flash the latest 986u1 full firmware then put back 98u csc file

Once you use a different csc file from what was originally in the file you can't get the OTA, you have to flash that version full 4 files then change csc to your liking

I just bought a s20 Ultra 5g (SM-G988NZKAKOC) from South Korea so I could get the Snapdragon chip which does not come to australia.
I am in Australia and want to remove all the South Korean Telecom software that is built into the phone. Which firmware can I install to get rid of all of this? Would Australian firmware work?

On international version , best to ask on XDA forums, I would say either unlocked version from UK (BTU) Germany another but don't know if they be compatible with your current carrier .

Hi I have just joined this. I also would like some help with a Samsung SM-G981B S20 5G.

My phone is unlocked and running original Firmware but I have Rooted it with TWRP and MAGISK.

What I want to know is, at the moment the Boot shows the THREE NETWORK which is what it was originally on. I want to change the BOOT from THREE to either VODAFONE, EE or just a Plain BTU Boot. I have downloaded the FIRMWARE from Sam Mobile, I have ODIN. I just need to know the way to flash it to get rid of the THREE NETWORK. I also am wondering can I do this without having to WIPE the phone and keep all my SETTINGS and APPS. I did originally use the BTU Firmware when I flashed it previous but the THREE NETWORK is still there. I dont think it was there until I put my NETWORK on and it updated, then it came back.

SO What I want to do is, remove the THREE BRANDING and change to to just unlocked or at least a NETWORK I am using. Ideally would like to do this without resetting or wiping but if I have to then will. Thanks. . . The other thing I have done is use up_param_tar to remove the Boot Loader Message also. It has TWRP and MAGISK.

Thanks and hope I can be helped. . .

I have a ATT s20+ I want to flash the firmware to take off the ATT software, what's the best way? Can I make this unlocked with all carriers?
