My Verizon 512gb also says backordered ships week of 27th. Still cancel button as well. Ordered on the 14th.
They usually have that option for less valuable packages, but I'm not sure they'd do that for a $1400 device. But if they did, it'd be at the customer's own risk--by authorizing the signature-free dropoff, the customer would be agreeing that the package counts as being successfully delivered as soon as it's dropped off, so if it disappears after that, it's the customer's sole problem.
Hope I didn't screw something up by cancelling my initial order and making a new order directly afterwards (I accidentally put my trade in as a Note 20 Ultra instead of S20 Ultra) because I notice each bill was different in total amount. My first one I cancelled came out to $729.53 and my new order came out to $725.03. The only thing I can see that's different on each invoice is the tax, weird. I have a pending transaction for the amount of the order that I cancelled but not one for my updated order (both where placed early Jan 15th about 2am.) My newest order went to "In Process" for every item and the cancel button has disappeared for every item. The phone and case says expected delivery Jan 29th and the other accessories say Feb 02. Hope everything went through OK lol. I was going to just stick with the initial order and then just call them afterwards to update my trade in to the S20U from the Note20U...
Canceled my initial order too, you should be fine so long as you got a cancelation email for the first order and a confirmation email for the second order. This last week can be the most stressful...but it gets more exciting soon.
Can somebody tell me why when you log into a computer or even on your phone browser It tells you something different than the actual shop Samsung app which is what we ordered from? We just looked his up and on the computer just like mine at their website it says expected date January 29th. But when we both go to our apps now I'm seeing like him ships by January 27th back ordered.
So do you go by the app date cuz that's where we ordered from? I don't want to get it on the 29th. I at least expect it a couple days early since we pre-ordered and did the RSVP. ButEven if it's Friday that's still better than my S10 debacle or I had to wait a few weeks to a month longer just to get the pink.

Are you not putting the phone in a case?? Majority of phones are going in cases, color really don't matter anyway IMOfrom my point of view, it just sucks and is so unfair for the top-of-the-line S21 Ultra model to be ONLY available in black. what's with that???
you'd think that with all that extra cost, at least Samsung can provide an extra SKU for a few additional colors for the 512gb variant! you make people pay through their noses, well, try to deliver a little SOMETHING nice, a little something extra for these particularly good clients, right?
merely black! not even black and white and silver, 3 very basic colors! even if they'd only do these three colors, black, silver, and white, that's just barely acceptable. not exciting, but at least some choices - de minimus.
Every pre-order for the last 10 pre-orders why do people always feel the need to give out blow by blow detail of how Samsung Processes orders?
The only real news here is if your item doesn’t ship out by the intended ship date

It is nice that brick and mortar Best Buy exist so we can have hands on prior to ordering online. Same with carrier stores that carry live models. Too bad Best Buy didn't arrange some sweet deals to get those shoppers from buying while in the store
@jlangner: do you recall if they carry unlocked models? They have good preorder deals but since they don't carry t-mobile I am out.
@rcab: how much did you pay to TMobile for your phone please and which model did you order? thank you. i'm with TMobile too but last year, their prices were terrible!I only commented because so many were going there to play with it before ordering from Samsung. I ordered mine from T-Mobile because of their deal.
That is good observation, I noticed the same. I'm surprised Samsung can't get order system right.
