S23 ultra

Samsung been promising better cameras for last couple years I want see it this year so we have to wait but their zoom is unbelievable and videos

I'm really interested in this much improved low light I'm hearing about. Didn't they hype that up last year too with "nightography'?

I was going to replace my S22U 256/12 with a S23U
But the sad news that the 256 version will only be 8gb RAM is a huge No for me
I just checked my S22U and my memory is at 7.5 + 1 for system, so with an 8gb version it would have been laggy
I am starting to contemplate the Pixel 7 Pro 256/12

That isn't how RAM works on Android.

I have an S21U with 12GB and a flip4 with 8GB and performance is basically identical... In fact, the Flip4 actually doesn't have the couple of hiccups the S21U does because of the better processor.

All it means is you can have fewer apps open i the background. And with how aggressive samsung can be with RAM management, it's debatable how much that will actually effect things.

Just curious why Samsung is still SO BAD with color choices for their premium phones? I have never seen such a poor selection for the S23 lineup with exception of the green phone.

This! Though I need to get over it as my phone is in a case 99.9% of the time. The colors shown so far this year are horrible. Personally would love to see a matte navy blue.

If Samsung does the free upgrade from 8GB/256 to 12GB/512, would you consider that option?

I'm keeping my S22 Ultra. Still feels new and doing great. Besides, I'm working on getting a new car and more important things this year lol.

Don't blame you and s22u is still a powerhouse phone

I'm keeping my S22 Ultra, since it still works as good as it did when I got it last February. Plus I don't care for any of the colours they have for the S23 Ultra.

Yup! Took a lot of will power over the years not to upgrade but this damm Note 10 Plus is a beast. Works perfectly. But excited to get some new tech. Dying for an upgraded camera.

Same for me. Note 10+ still pretty solid - and I've been known to jump on every new Note. The S Ultra's just weren't compelling for me, but it may be time.

A quick question. What does the note 10 have that the S22U does not have?

I'm just curious as I don't see anything different. The S series and note series has been pretty much the same phone for a few years, the main difference was the spen. They both followed each other on other features.

Not much difference at all - that's the point - except that my Note 10+ has an SD card. Got my wife an S22U, and didn't see any reason at all for me to spend money to get myself one. Maybe I'll see a little more bang for my buck going to the S23U (I am a pen user).

I was just curious. Phone upgrades are pretty minimal now days. I had the note 10 and I personally think there's a performance difference between the note 10 and S22U, but yeah if you're happy with the note 10 then why not keep it.

This is its last year of security patches. Has it been confirmed that everyone is getting the Snapdragon version of the S23 Ultra ?

I don't think it's 100% confirmed but every video on YouTube about leaks seem to say Snapdragon for everyone, also there has been no new Exynos release so far.

I am going to be watching the unpacked event closely as I'm getting very interested in the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360. If Samsung don't give very good trade in deals this time in the UK I will stick with my S22 Ultra and maybe grab a laptop to replace my 12 year old Satellite Pro

Yep, trading in my S22 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and earbuds pro for S23 Ultra Watch 5 pro and earbuds pro 2

I'm getting the S23U and you know you all will too thanks to FOMO. lol

But seriously, I would totally upgrade a Note 10 for the S23 Ultra. It's almost 4 years, the cameras are vastly improved and if I'm correct, Note 10 no longer gets software upgrades after One UI 4.1? Also, the latency on the SPen is almost nothing with the predictive writing. The battery is also going to be kicking 4 yrs too. None of these things are essential, but are improvements nonetheless. That said, Note 10 was absolutely solid.
