S23 ultra

I know I am hoping the trade in value is good too! Only reason we got the 22U from the 21U was and I had no desire to get it had always planned on going from 21 to 23. I don't really use the pen much and it was a few months after it came out they offered a 1000 bucks for our 21U and after our last trade in we only paid like $800 and were getting a 1000. So I only wanted to do it for when the 23 did come out we could get more of a trade in over the 21U. But I really love the 22 and ended up like the squareness of it better than the 21U. I had them both next to each other and I love the 22U now.

I need to learn the pen more watch some you tube tutorials. LOL! I just hate having to buy a new case new Zagg protector. I bought the same I-Blason case for my 22 that I had on my 21 cause of the matching popsocket I use. I'll probably do it again if they make it. But I pre-ordered for the $50 and I will take the new buds even though I have the Buds Pro now the purple ones that I love but I guess it will b e nice to have an extra pair or I could sell them but I wonder if we were to wait if they end up doing a 1000 again for the 22U like they did for the 21U. You never know and I would hate to miss out on the $50 and buds and them not do that again.

I will trade up on 2 conditions. Great trade in value for s22u and price after trade in.

FWIW, I've seen insane deals usually land in May and in July...and they are far superior to the pre-order deals Samsung puts out there. I'll stipulate that I'm not looking at deals every week, but that's my observation.

I went from a paid-off S10+, to S21U, to S22U. with the deals, I basically got my current phone for around $200.

At this moment I plan to stay with S22 ultra unlocked 586 gb. I got it at best buy. The first time using best buy. I usually do Samsung Direct but they messed up both my orders last year. I still have my note 20 ultra unlocked. Will see phone specs and trade in deals before I decide to upgrade.

I sold my S22 plus and went with the pixel 7 Pro cause I had an upgrade with t mobile. So I pay like $5 a month for 24 months for the pro but everything I own is Samsung, watch, buds and tablet. I really miss one UI so I'm hoping to hear great things about the S22 plus it ultra and I probably will upgrade.

I'm also a bit of a phone junky so I really hope the snapdragon gen 2 will be super efficient.
I did the same thing. Sold my S22 plus and bought the Pixel 7 Pro. I have the buds 2, watch 5 and tab S8. I don't miss One UI at all. My Tab S8 gives me that fix for tinkering around with One UI.

I actually traded the phone to Google for the 7 Pro. I was able to get a good trade in value for it. It worked out to be $10 a month to Google. I'm trying to pay a little extra to Samsung financing to pay off my other devices quicker. The cool thing about trading my S22 plus in to Google is that I didn't have to pay off the phone before trading it in. So I'm technically still paying for the balance of the S22+ while paying $10/month for the 7 Pro. So it added on $10/month. But I know if finances got tight, I could always sell my tablet to pay it off. It's definitely a luxury item. The phone I have is infinitely more important to me. And the S22 plus just didn't do it for me.

We used Best Buy alot than started doing Samsung cause of better trade in value and I'll never forget Best Buy was supposed to have my S10+ and it was on back order for ever the Falmingo Pink took me forever to get. I do remember the 1st earbuds we got for free the original 1st ones they made we just had to upload our BB receipt in the app to Samsung.

That's what I am wondering about because I would rather wait and get more of a trade in value like for the 22U we didn't pre-order and had no desire for it. loved my 21U coming from the S10+. But a couple months later they had a 1000 trade in deal we paid 399 a piece for the 512 and loved the 1000 trade in. We had paid 800 for the 21U 512 so I thought that was a great deal. I would rather get an extra 200 off the phone than ear buds or accessories. But I am afraid if we wait they won't do the 1000 trade in again who knows what they will do. And I am curious how much they will give in the beginning another reason we got the 22 cause it was the 23 I was really wanting and I figured we would get more if we went ahead and got the 22.

I mean the new buds will be nice I already have the ones before these latest ones that I got free and the 50 extra credit don't really need. I told my husband he could get the leather watch band if it's even listed for buying with the credit nothing else I need. I usually will get an extra charger but I hate to wait not knowing if and when they will have a better deal down the line.

Yes I meant 512gb sorry about that lol

Thank you for satiating my curiosity lol.

As an aside, I'm the same as you. I don't make a decision on whether I'm going to get the new phone until it's actually announced. The S22U wasn't worth the side-grade from my S21U, and I doubt the S23U will be either.

My wife got the S22U on Amazon's early prime day and is happy with it. I'm still on my old LG V40 Thinq and am looking to upgrade. The only thing I have that's Samsung is an old S3. Maybe they will have a $300 trade in again for "any Galaxy device" like they did for the Fold 4. If not it may pay to wait until April/May if the deals may be better....

I might upgrade if they offer the $1000 trade-in again.

I usually keep my phones 3 years... Note 8 to Note 20U... I think AT&T offered $1000 credit over contract so basically a $1000 trade-in.

I planned to hold until the S23U and I figured with my trade it would cost me $600 out of pocket for a $1300 phone? But they offered $950 (missed the 1K trade) and free upgrade to 128GB so why not and basically $300 out of pocket.

If they offer $1000 for the S22U then I'd probably be in the same position I was if I kept my N20U and upgrade to S23U. At least that's how I am going to justify it in my head LOL :D

In no rush to jump at launch if they don't have $1000 trade-in and can wait it out and even pass it if they never do...

The S23U doesn't really have anything new... the next gen SD and should give better battery life but that's probably negligible in real world use. As well as the 200mp sensor... who knows could be worse sorting out a new chip like they did with the S20U. 2nd gen FPS with larger read area? Maybe all the little improvements would be worth a $300 upgrade price over the S22U. Maybe. I'm not excited with the new colors either. I got White with the N20U and S22U and love it. This new white looks dull... I'd go with the Green if I upgrade.

The new white almost looks like eggshell or even a weak yellow. lol

Yeah its too bad... I think they are calling it Cotton Flower? Definitely a contrast from Phantom White.

What I really liked about the whites on both was the polished unpainted frame.

Botanic green it will be. :)

I'm same.. If there's a $1,000 trade in on the S22U then I'll probably pull the trigger, otherwise I'll just keep the S22U.

Had a couple of these too. Thinking that the problem was I never turned the phone off and charged on a wireless unit. Since not turning off whilst charging no problem. [BOX]:-![/BOX] Just wait until tonight. [BOX]:)[/BOX]
