S23 ultra

My wife got the S22U on Amazon's early prime day and is happy with it. I'm still on my old LG V40 Thinq and am looking to upgrade. The only thing I have that's Samsung is an old S3. Maybe they will have a $300 trade in again for "any Galaxy device" like they did for the Fold 4. If not it may pay to wait until April/May if the deals may be better....

That's awesome that you're still rocking the LG V40 ThinQ! Samsung seems to do well with offering trade-in values for older devices. Even my S10 was eligible for a trade-in if I chose to get an S22 device.

Just curious why Samsung is still SO BAD with color choices for their premium phones? I have never seen such a poor selection for the S23 lineup with exception of the green phone.

I'm not planning on upgrading to the S23U since my S22U still feels new. It does everything I need it to do, and the battery life is great. My plan is to wait another year and see what the S24U has to offer.

I plan on trading my iPhone 14 Pro Max (if Samsung or Best Buy has them up for trade-in, which neither has added as a trade-in device yet, which is late. They both accepted iPhone 13 Pro Max around the first of January last year) for the S23 Ultra, if the battery life is better than the S22 Ultra. So I'll be waiting for reviews before I order.

I was disappointed when LG got out of the market as I liked their clean hardware design, but their support was sorely lacking. I'm still on Android 9 with a security patch dated January 1, 2020. I'd like to keep it as a back up/ beater phone and the S23 might be it, or not...

Keeping my galaxy note 10 plus (this thing still works amazingly well) as a back up (not trading it in) and finally upgrading! This is longest I've ever had a phone. 3.5yrs!

Getting that 23 Ultra for sure.

Wow! Three and a half years! That's amazing! That S23 Ultra will be an amazing upgrade to your Note 10 Plus!

Yup! Took a lot of will power over the years not to upgrade but this damm Note 10 Plus is a beast. Works perfectly. But excited to get some new tech. Dying for an upgraded camera.

I've heard great things about the Note 10, especially its longevity. Yes, I bet that will be an enormous upgrade in the camera department!

Two weeks from today we get the launch of the S23 line of phones. Starting to get excited.

The new s23 ultra will be released in the first of the year how many will trade up or keep their s22?
If Sammy has a good trade in I will upgrade if not stay with what I have.

Depends on the trade in deal.

So far I'm hearing at launch Samsung will be offering the free upgrade (same price for a 12 GB RAM/512 MB storage S23 Ultra model as it would be for the 8/256 model).

Also hearing approximately $200 in Samsung credit, on top of the $50 credit for pre-registering. You have to use the credit at check-out on accessories or other Samsung products. Can't be applied towards the price of the phone.

Hearing anywhere from $800 to $1000 for the trade-in value of an S22 Ultra. I will be happy with $800, pumped if it's close to $900. Not expecting $1000. Guess we will see as it gets closer.

So this is supposed to be big jump for Ultra camera? 200MP and I'm hear low light vastly improved as well. Any word on zoom? I know the 22U at 100x zoom was improved over 20U and 21U.

Not sure the 100x xoom was really much of an improvement over the S21U.

Be careful though, Sammy has a bit of a habit of over promising and under delivering on their camera stuff.

And remember that bigger numbers don't necessarily mean better pictures.
