S25 Ultra might lose bluetooth connectivity on the S Pen.

I had heard that the spen slot on S25U would not charge a Bluetooth spen, so does that mean even with the new spen bought separately, it will not charge when it's inside the phone?

There isn't a spen , what they gonna sell is the pro spen for S25 Ultra, so there's no way to put that spen in , and S25 Ultra Bluetooth chip for Spen on phone was removed, so no way to have that spen.
And yes the S24 Ultra Spen will not charge on S25 Ultra, cause of the chip missing in the phone for Bluetooth.

I just love how EVERY SINGLE time a new Ultra device comes out, it seems most tech reviews jump immediately on it's nuts, about how it's such a great upgrade over the previous years model.
Watching a video from Stevealicioustech recently, he seemed sorely let down by the S25U. Given the video, it doesn't even sound like he purchased one.

I love watching Flossy Carter. He was also a bit let down by the fact that they removed the BT feature from the S-pen. He actually uses it all the time, though.

I had a hands on with the S25 ultra
But in front of the S24 ultra it looks just like any other phone in the market
S24 ultra design stood out from the crowd
And with Bluetooth removed ?
Gonna stick with S24 ultra for one more year
Newaz we have 7 years of Os update
Let's see what S26 ultra holds

Definitely in the same boat... but will be 'upgrading'. Not because I'm blown away with the new features (albeit some of the new AI stuff already confirmed is NOT coming to older models as they need the new processor), but because I had 200 bucks to 'burn' in Samsung credits. I really never used the BT air actions other than to change pen styles on the tablet. So definitely won't miss that feature (but sucks that they removed it).

Samsung out here trolling us...
Ha ha I didn't believe it was true for one minute as it didn't make sense considering the S25U doesn't have the charging capability for the S-pen. Wouldn't have been a smart move on Samsungs part.

Samsung should never have merged the Note and S series together, the S series were for the masses and Note was a Niche which should have continued with the S pen, the S series had no business having the Spen.

What scares me the future, they might take the Spen away all together, that would lead me to Pixels , iPhones but not Samsung anymore.

I said my two cents...lol

Don't you have a Galaxy Watch?

If not for the lack of fully integrated functionality of GW with any non-Samsung device, I would have likely given Pixel Pro more consideration.

I think basically they're trying to force this new AI wave on us. I for one am not worried about losing the remote functions of the bt pen. When I took group pictures I just used the voice commands instead. And if in loud areas. The watch works just as well. I mainly used the spen to draw things when I was bored. Never even used it to take notes. I buy Samsung because its not apple. I buy it because of the endless customization possibilities and it has the best OS of any android. And its not an ugly phone to look at like these newer phones with the big car emblem on the back for camera set ups. I really like the way one ui is evolving and though they took some hardware away it hasn't really hindered my day to day life in a negative way. But everyone is different. I dont need a 3.5 audio jack. I prefer bt ear buds. I didnt need external memory slot. And if I do I can use the phone to transfer data to an external device. It actually saves money. Because im not dropping 70-80 bucks for the newest micro sd card that comes out. I can even set up my home pc as a server and transfer everything to it without plugging in. But, I rarely if ever run out of storage on my phone. Because once things go to the cloud. I can just access it from there. There's a rhyme and reason for everything a company does. Personally I think they had to remove the charging coil to help cool this new chip. It does produce a lot of heat. And samsung currently has it throttled at nearly half what it can do. Im interested to see how much they open up its potential with future updates.

I agree with you. Since I've gotten used to the S Pen I can't be without it.

But does it really stand out as different? I mean when they are side by side......there is not much difference to be honest. I held the S25 Ultra next to my S24 Ultra at BestBuy and there was not much difference .

This is from YouTube. You can barely see the rounded corners.

I have a Galaxy Watch and am well aware of all the ways to control the camera and media. HOWEVER, I became dependent on the spen since the N3, long before they added BT. If they delete Spen all together, I'd probably go with the S+ because I'm so deep in the ecosystem. Pixel is a close 2nd. I love the P9P, I just need seamless integration with all my other devices. I'd probably eventually migrate to Pixel Buds, Watch, etc. Ugh...I hope it doesn't come to that

I have to be up front here with myself. After reading all the posts and links to various articles regarding the S25 and the S Pen, in all honesty I don't think I have used it to the full capacity its meant for. Since reading the comments and searching my mind, I reckon I have used it more that past few days for various functions, mainly group photographs etc, (maybe as its a thought of its functions not being there), So, in my tiny mind I will probably miss some of the functions but, I will get by.. Roll on next Monday for my delivery of the handset.
