Let's talk micro sd cards for the Samsung S3. What's going to be the ideal card for this phone? What's going to work and what's not work?

SDXC, SDHC

Class 4, 6, 10

etc....

I suppose each user may possibly want/need a different type of card depending on what they would be using it for the most. Say a person who takes tons of photos/video vs a person that uses it for music. etc.

I certainly had audio syncing issues with my original EVO when shooting video. I used the stock sd card that came with it.

Anyway, I'd like to hear some opinions on which card they're getting and why.

Well I was hoping for a little more action in here on this topic but ;)

I found this over at xda on micro sd cards for the S3 if anyone is interested click HERE

The thread started on May 13, 2012. Currently 12 pages to sift through. Not sure which card is a favorite yet though.

I would go for class 10, 32 or 64GB depending on the price difference between them.

Almost every other galaxy phone came with a 16gb memory card, not this one.

My galaxy and galaxy 2 both came with a 16gb

Does anyone know of a true class 10 64GB micro SD card? SanDisk only goes to class 6. Some websites list the SanDisk as a class 10 but that is wrong from what I have found so far.

Samsung is supposed to be releasing a class 10 64GB soon but I haven't found any information on it really.

currently you either go with 32 GB class 10 or 64 GB with lower class spec.

i went with a 64 GB SanDisk (think it is class 6 or something) and it works flawlessly in the GS3

Will the Sandisk Class 10 Mobile Ultra Micro SDXC 64gb work in it?

On Amazon for $65-75

I just wasnt sure if the GS3 was compatible with SDHC or XC cards.

The class 10-64gb micro sd cards are like $100 on Amazon... Those must be class 6 at that price.

To the best of my understanding, those Sandisk cards are actually class 6. How long does it take the phone to read that card when you boot the phone?

SanDisk doesn't make a class 10 micro SD in 64GB. Some sellers on Amazon lie and say they are class 10 but in reality they are class 6. This is what I have been finding out as ideally I'd like a class 10 64GB micro SD card.
