S6 Active Button activates at the slightest touch in pocket or purse. HELP?!

My friend has an S6 Active. I hung out with him last night and tried out the phone....I think it's a no-go for me :( The buttons keep getting pushed while in your pocket and the screen gets unlocked!!! Why doesn't this phone have a proximity sensor that doesn't allow the phone to unlock in your pocket?? WHY......WHY???

Best way to easily fix this is go download the app fast reboot from playstore. This is an app that with one press it kills ur apps and then closes. Similar to advanced task killer but a one push and autoclose. Assign it to your short press and everytime u press the active button it'll just kill it apps. It's actually pretty nice having the active key set like this.

There is a setting for the active button that you can turn off so when the screen is locked the active key will not activate. I do see how the active button getting pressed in your pocket would be annoying.

It is in the settings under active key

This works fine for me. I set the "Active Key on Lock Screen" option to off, waited for my phone to lock, then hit the Active Key. The phone does wake up and displays the lock screen, but upon unlocking, it displays the home screen instead of the barometer, compass, or whatever else is on the activity zone....no additional apps or setting the short press to a disabled app needed...
