S8 only $424 unlocked at samsung

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier but Samsung is having a killer deal right now. 100$ off the top leaving it at 624$ then another 200$ instant credit for any device trade in. Literally any device as long as it powers on and isn't blacklisted. This deal also applies to the s8+ for 524$. They only charge you the 200$ credit if you never send them a phone or it doesn't meet the criteria.
Would an OG Droid qualify? If not. how about a razr maxx hd?

Check my earliest post, #29 on this thread. Every working and good condition smartphone qualifies.
I don't know what blacklisted means. I know BestBuy wouldn't take my Droid. It's one of the first smartphones ever built. Doesn't even have 4G only 3G

Blacklisted is when is reported as stolen or lost, most of the time, but it can be blacklisted for example when it was financed and never paid off.

About the Trade In value, well, Best Buy most likely don't accept it because it's simply to old and have no value, but Samsung clearly states that any smartphone that still power on and keeps a charge, so battery is not dead, not blacklisted, no Secure locked and no screen damage qualifies for the $200 trade in value.

Thanks and wow. I'm afraid my Droid won't stay on more than 15 or 20 minutes without a charge but my razr maxx hd will.

I have an old Thunderbolt that holds a charge ok but it is rooted.

Looks like me unlocked S8 and S8+ are both backordered. When i ordered the S8 it was not on backorder.

I just ordered the Verizon version and so far it is not showing backordered.

So that's three phones I ordered under the tradein program.

As for Swappa, they are no worse than eBay. Likely a bit better. I bought my iPad Air2 and iPhone 6S+ from them and had no problems.

And don't forget about Samsung financing. I'm $23 a month, for a s8 plus is pretty sweet IMO

Samsung is now giving $250 for any trade in. These prices are so hard to pass up, but it seems like there are too many potential issues when using it on Verizon.

Well that's strange. I checked again and now they are only doing the $250 trade in for the Verizon S8+.

Is the Verizon version available at the same low cost?
If I buy the unlocked version will I be able to get VZW new LTE bands? Super LTE or whatever they call it?

I got this deal as well trading in an old Verizon Moto G Gen 1 that I got on Black Friday a couple years back for $20

I got a Galaxy S4 in pristine condition except for the battery, but it's rooted and has a custom rom on it. Do you think Samsung would reject it for that?

What do these places do with these old trade in smart phones?

The Verizon S8 can be had for $200 off if you trade in a phone (if you don't have one, buy a working old smart phone from Swappa to trade in). That Verizon branded phone will work 100% with all Verizon features. The Unlocked phone... will not.

I was just quoted $250 off the $840 asking price for a Verizon S8+. I am thinking of sending ok in my old HTC Thunderbolt. Hahaha, that'd be the best thing that phone ever did for me, save me $250. So total for the s8+ was $590.

I just traded my S7 Edge for a new S8 Plus. $500 to trade. got the AT&T version since the unlocked won't support wifi calling or HD Voice. good deal.

We're you able to get that through a store or was it online with Samsung?

Damn. What happens if you buy this and put it on Verizon? Can you get the features like visual voicemail and wifi calling to work?

I haven't tried WiFi Calling (never needed it); I've moved to Google Voice for my VVM needs. Ports easily between devices and works great on Verizon.

VoLTE definitely works.
