S8 plus YouTube 1440p60 choppy

Testing higher resolution playback on this Galaxy. The Galaxy is very choppy with video playback at resolutions above 720p60. Everytime I select 1440p60 the video is extremely choppy. If I select a video that isn't doing 60 and just regular 1440p it runs with no problems.

Has anyone else noticed this? This phone just can't do 1440p60 I guess? Even having trouble playing back 1080p60. I've tried this on WiFi and cellular data.

I have had the opposite, phone is excellent with everything I've streamed, but my wifi is also excellent. I would have to blame your data connection and not the phone, unless you have something else interfering.

You have a strong enough connection for it? I've had no issues.

the video isn't pausing to load more, it's just choppy. As if it can't keep up with the FPS. Maybe I need to restart my phone and try it again. I don't have this problem on laptops, desktops or streaming devices at home.

Clear your cache and restart your phone.

I did, and it still only shows up to 1080p if it's 60fps

Those settings are the from the video I linked? Is your display set to FHD or WQHD?

Same here, I'm on wqhd

Update, I was able to increase it using Chrome, it plays 2160p60 without stuttering, expect of course for the buffering.
