Samsung.com Pre-Orders

Pulled the trigger last night. 1TB unlocked Sky Blue S23U. Trading in my N20U is going to be painful since it only gave me $350 for the trade-in and, I know I'm going to miss the expandable memory. I got a $150 instant credit, which didn't look like it did anything, since I went with the Samsung Care+ loss & prevention and opted for the Galaxy Bud2 Pro with the accessories credit. Maybe this experience will make me have to upgrade again next year, to get a decent trade-in value towards a new device. I was debating on holding out for the Fold 5, but I doubt my N20U trade-in will be any better by then.

You're caving from the fomo??? Lol! I'm holding steady for now. Idk how much longer I can just watch yall though. I was so excited, I even ordered a case. That graphite is calling my name
Main reason I caved was because I had a note 9 that I have always hated. So for $6 month I can have the s23u. I don't think I would have done it with the S22U for trade

Cancelled my pre-order last night. I'll probably reorder through VZ today. As much as I loathe device payments, the delta between Samsung and carrier trade-in was just too much and not leaving VZ any time soon.

I could actually pay off VZ in month one and still save several hundred dollars over the Samsung deal even with the sales tax and upgrade fee.

IMHO this is a joint business decision ( trade in delta) between Samsung and the carriers to drive sales back through the carriers to create a more sticky customer base at the carrier, especially capturing previously unlocked all cash customers like me back to the carrier mothership.I'm sure there's a lot of ROI calculations on the back end that makes this work better for both of them...

Will not be able to pay Verizon off in one month unless you want to pay the full price That's divided up and 36 monthly credits if you pay off early you will have to pay remaining credits

I pre-ordered the 512 cream version and grabbed a galaxy watch 5 for under 500 trading in my fold 4 and the accessories discount. I was definitely surprised by the trade in value for the s22 ultra and even the fold 4. There are a lot of things I like about the fold, but I prefer the galaxy line after using this for a bit.

That is what sucks about the carrier deals.....they are bill credits over 36 months. Which ties people to the carrier for 3 years if they take the deal.

That's true
..I've been with Verizon for 23 years, in don't see myself going anywhere any time soon. If you like to jump around carriers then I wouldn't do the carrier credits.

I just ordered. Chose the 1TB model sky-blue opted to keep my S22 ultra did not like the value Samsung was giving for the trade in. I had an old S10 I traded, only got $140. for it. I used my $100 credit to get 2 cases 1) Galaxy S23 Ultra Silicone Case, Navy and 2) Galaxy S23 Ultra Clear Gadget Case and 15W Wireless Charger Duo with Travel Adapter, Dark Gray.

Ordered my S23U in Lime. Can't wait to have that color and see how it pops. Also got $150 of credit, ordered 4 cases and a screen protector. My girlfriend is getting the s23+ and got some cases on there as well

I ordered the lavender S23 Ultra with the buds pro 2 and the trade-in of my S22 Ultra yesterday. I then decided to sell my S22 elsewhere, so placed another order today without the trade-in this time.

Here for the shenanigans and meltdowns sure to come as things start shipping

I am not leaving Verizon but have never done bill credits. I like to own my phone outright. I think 36 months is too long maybe 24 but still I don't like paying extra on my bill. Samsung said to do the $500 trade in and order the phone through them I have to get unlocked it will only let me choose Verizon if I do their bill credit. So unless I can sell my phone outright for more I am sticking with my 22U. I bet lots of people are trying to sell to someone. But when I went to Samsung it did list 2 credits a $50 and than a $70 and I signed up for Ratuken just in case.

I don't like Bill credits either at 36 months is a little too long also. But it's $5.50 a month so it's not going to kill me either. I wouldn't do Verizon directly as I got $1,000 trade in when I ordered it on my app. What I started to order it said $800 for trade it but when I actually did the order and added the trade-in it went to $1, 000 so if you're going to do a device payments I would check Verizon first go directly to them it seems like they might be matching T-Mobile I don't know

My husband just asked me if I ordered my phone and I said not yet and told him a little about what's going on. He said well we've sold our phones before but their used to be a kiosk in the mall and they used to buy back phones I googled and think their gone now. And most buy back places are giving less than the $500. Husband said he does want unlocked this time I didn't really but it looks like that's the only way for the $500. I did look on Swappa to see what their going for and their is only one 512 Verizon the others are unlocked. I'm afraid if I buy out right and try Swappa it won't sell.

I mean technically we made 200 a piece when we got the 22U for the $1000 trade in of the 21 and the 512's were 399 a piece. So we're still ahead but still only 500 and you have to get unlocked I don't like that. How does Ratuken work I signed up? Do you get cash back or just money to use on certain sites they list online?

They recently just built a Fedex hub just 1.5 miles from my house by the airport. Is it possible I get my phone a day sooner than the others? Samsung uses 2 day air now. UPS they used to use overnight. The airport btw doesn't get fedex flights, just the area they built it in but it's a big hub. Like my package for my business came to the hub there and directly to the delivery truck instead of going to ft. myers which sometimes would miss the cut off time.

I'm still on the fence as to what to do but I am on Samsung and now I clicked on something that says Save up to $830. Get a storage upgrade on us, $150 instant Samsung Credit and up to $500 instant trade-in credit. I know about the storage upgrade and $500 but earlier it said for me $50 and underneath $70 so is this 150 instant in addition to the $50 reserve? I mean I don't really need accessories but would get maybe a case and extra charger. I still have the duo charging pad I got when I bought my watch 5 I have never used. I'm just afraid if we wait what if their isn't a great deal down the line like when we got a 1000 for our 21U.

I ordered the unlocked 23+ in lilac and was going to trade in my s20+ but didn't like the low credit for that one. I ended up trading my my husband's backup phone, an old s9+ with a cracked screen for $55 credit and keep the s20+ for backup. I also got the healthcare employee discount and Rakuten raked in $143 back! Samsung discount of $100 was spent on the buds2 pro. I'm happy with the transaction. It's been a while since I got a new phone. I usually upgrade every other model but skipped the S22.
