Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

They have my package but Samsung won't allow me to pick it up. It has to be delivered. This is ridiculous. No one will be there to sign for it. I guess I won't be getting my phone anytime soon then

I got a robo call from FedEx a few minutes ago saying if nobody was going to be home when it gets delivered tomorrow, I could leave a note with my signature on it, and any delivery instructions. I will be here, so not useful for me, but just thought I'd pass that along.

I also called about picking up the phone today and was told that the sender placed a restriction on it not to allow pickups. Thankfully my son and his wife are free tomorrow and don’t mind hanging at the house to sign for the phone.

I'm gonna call and confirm this...that seems kinda sketchy as someone could forge a signature and leave it on the door to pick up the package

It's really stupid too that Samsung won't allow you to pick it up in person which is alot safer than leaving it on the doorstep where it could be stolen

Same here. I just spoke to a rep and she said she escalated my order in the shipping department and I should have a better idea of what's going on by Friday. UNREAL!! It was supposed to ship last Friday and now they're saying I might not know anything till this Friday. But she also said it might have shipped and I might get it today. Might get it tomorrow. But no one knows. If samsung would just take their heads out of their butts and figure out how to keep their systems up to date none of these issues would be happening.

N8 pre-order NOT delivered. In huge trouble.

I am in big problem. I pre-order N8 on 26 Aug, N7 promo, from Samsung direct.
I haven't received my phone yet. It shows pre-order status in Samsung direct, and no update at Fedex delivery manager. What should I do?
I will be in big big trouble if I don't get the phone by this week.

Call Samsung and let the escalate the problem to the warehouse also ask them about the status, they have more detailed information then what you see on the site

Got tired of zero updates from Samsung. Ordered my unlocked Note 8 on August 29, and zero response or communication from Samsung. I cannot wait forever.
Cancelled my order and ordered and Iphone 8+. I'll wait till the Note 9 next year.

Did anyone who ordered the Unlocked version directly from Samsung after August 31st receive their phone? I ordered on 9/1, previous Note 7 owner and it is still in preorder status. Wondering if people who preordered the unlocked version have been receiving their phones at all?

I ordered it Friday afternoon and it's just the AT&T version of the phone.

Mine was ordered on the 29th, and I didn't even get a charge or a notice from Fed Ex. Nothing.
