Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

No, placed my order on the 24th and mine is the same as his - Still just shows Order Placed with option to cancel. I called and got a clueless response. She said my order looks fine, that it won't be charged or confirmed until it's ready to ship, and no one's order is shipping yet. Ok.

Funny but I still have two Note7 (no I'm not using them lol).

I was thinking of calling Samsung and asking if they would honor the trade-in offer still. I mean it's the phone that the whole offer is based around...

You should try to initiate the return of the note 7's. At one time you could send them back to samsung and receive full retail price for them.

Ordered from AT&T yesterday at 5:45pm, and already got my phone delivered to me next day at 2pm. Canceled my order with Samsung since I sold my Iphone 7 plus and don't need the trade in. Got home and getting it loaded now! It's so pretty.

I'm in the same boat and talked to Samsung...they told me all Note 7 customers should have their phones shipped by tomorrow...hopefully she wasn't just trying to make me happy

Same boat here I ordered on the 27th my cc was charged that day ...than 4 days later the was money returned to my account ... went to Samsung’s website order still saids Pre order status I received my confirmation email 2 hours after I placed the order and at this moment still saids Pre order with the option to cancel

I think there is no real rhyme or reason as to how Samsung selected who would be first to get their phone shipped. Samsung put out an ambiguous bait line about being the first to receive the phone when it could mean either the early ship date or the official launch date. The guy I spoke to was clueless and gave no other information other than my order was "confirmed" despite me still having the "cancel" button. I guess we were hoping Samsung would step up this time and they didn't. They certainly didn't recognize Note 7 owners any differently in terms of shipping, evidently. I've given up checking the order status every few hours. When it comes, it'll come. I just have to be sure someone will be around to sign for it. That being said, I think we should stop complaining about people complaining. This is a thread intended to talk about the pre-order experience and people do want to hear what others are experiencing. If you didn't want to read any of that, this is the wrong thread to participate in. Just my two cents.

Absolutely. Hopefully, hopefully that will go smooth. Don't want to have to deal with Samsung customer service. Apple definitely has Samsung beat on customer service. By a mile.

Mine went from Louisville to Louisville. It took 14 minutes . Still don't know why I didn't get mine today. Ah well. Looks like tomorrow is Note Day for some of us. Happy Note Eve.
