Sorry you guys are having such a hard time , ordered my 2nd N8 from BB on the 16th Orchard Gray Unlocked and got tracking today the 18th not rubbing it in ,just saying stock is available not sure what your hold up is

Trade in program. Am I too late?

So on Saturday I mailed off my s7 edge for the trade in program. Anyway, I got mine a week late thanks to UPS not loading it onto the plane on time and then Irma.

It says to turn in by sept 20th. Does that mean sept 20th the deadline to ship it or when the third party company takes possession of it?

I just got an email today saying I have until sept 20th.

That is some BS if I get charged for it when they didn't ship the phone to me on time and I will dispute with the charge company then.

Got tired of zero updates from Samsung. Ordered my unlocked Note 8 on August 29, and zero response or communication from Samsung. I cannot wait forever.
Cancelled my order and ordered and Iphone 8+. I'll wait till the Note 9 next year.

This is exactly the kind of post that I wish there were more of. And Samsung needs to see that they are losing sales because of its incompetence.

Pre-ordered the unlocked version (no trade-in) on 8/26 (w/ ship date of 9/21). It had shown "pre-order" through this morning and sometime today changed to "back ordered." Strange thing is my credit card has been changed since 8/27

I've yet to receive any communication from Samsung, save for the original order confirmation email. Concerned as I'll be out of town on vacation next week.

If mine doesn't ship by Wednesday I'll be canceling my order. Not sure what I'll get but it won't be anything from Samsung. It's unfortunate because I know this is the best device but I won't give them my money if they don't get their act together. I spent over 2 hours on hold today and when the guy finally took my call he couldn't hear me. As if my phone was on mute. Then had to wait another 5 hours for a call back. Still haven't gotten a response from my online submission from a week ago that they claim they answer in 48 hours.

Me too. Thing is I know my cc company flagged them as fraud and so I need to pay again and the reps don't even know how to do it yet I am still listed as preorder

I hope that's the case. If not I might contact one of the local news reporters if I don't get my trade in credit about the hurricane affecting shipping.

It's just with the past issues with Samsung I just worry about my trade in. I only did it for the $425. Next time if they release the unlocked at the same time I just might order from Best Buy. Granted I know Best Buy won't let me pick it up a week in advanced like the carriers ship, but if I have an issue it's a lot easier to walk into best buy to have them swap my phone out or just order from Tmobile.

Just got off the phone with Samsung after 2 hours hold! The rep said they will have some update by Friday. They have no information to share right now. If not for that $425!

Without knowing the specific details of the deal you did, I would say that generally speaking most mail in deadlines refer to the postmark date... the date you actually mail it. So you should be fine.

I pre-ordered the Unlocked version on August 28 and mine still has not shipped (though they have at least put a pending charge on my account).

Only other option to get unlocked devices at launch is to order from best buy next time. Granted Best Buy never releases the phones early, but at least you know you will have the phone on Launch day to pick up at Best Buy.

That's what I'm hoping. Because UPS didn't load my Note 8 onto the plane the day it was suppose to ship out and then the next day because if Irma it was delayed yet again and sat in Miami for an entire week. I got an email saying to send my device in by sept 20th and I went to the shipping store on Sat but it didn't get picked up by Fedex until this morning and it is shipping ground. They better not screw me over when it was NOT my fault UPS didn't get it onto the plane and then Irma delayed it. I will raise hell and if Samsung does not refund the trade in charge I will go to my card company and local media.
