I updated OTA as well. What I have noticed are mostly problems with media in general. I am getting SQLite Constraint Exceptions from the music player, and from a couple other apps that use audio. The problem seems to have something to do with the database attempting to upgrade and the system not allowing it. The message is something along the lines of "Can't upgrade read-only database from version 77 to 92", however the exception being thrown is SQLiteConstraintException. Anyone else experiencing problems with their audio player/audio files? Does formatting the SDCard fix this particular issue?
*I also just noticed that attempting to change any tones (ringtone, notification, etc) causes a crash. Same errors, sqliteexception and sqliteconstraintexception.
*It seems wiping the SD-Card fixes these issues. Strange, but good to know. Again, this was caused by the "Over-the-air" update straight from Sprint. If you're having issues with media, back up your sd card to a computer and format it. This should fix the media problems.
Bluetooth calling still does not work when the audio jack is in use! :'(
i had this happen with a couple apps, the clock, browser (but not every time), and the weather channel. what fixed it for me was erasing everything and going back to stock. i had to reinstall all my apps and set everything on the phone again, but once i did everything has worked fine.
You may have to try a factory restore as others stated. Many people had to do this with the leaked Froyo DK28 to resolve conflicts.
Battery life is horrible now. I have juice defender with ultimate juice and I used to get 20+ hours out of my battery. I charge my phone overnight and now when I unplug my phone in the morning the battery drops right to 98 or 96. On 2.1 my phone would hold 100 for an hour or so after I unplugged it. Maybe battery life will improve over time, idk. Note I did the manual update and didn't wipe my phone and changed nothing on juice defender or ultimate juice.
Is anyone else having issues with enabling Wifi? When I either use a toggle widget or the toggle button from the notifications, it will light up like it is turning on, but it won't enable. Instead the icon goes back to being grayed out and I'm no longer able to press that button. The only workaround is if I manually go into Wireless settings and enable it there (and even there it won't work at times). When I do go to settings, under Wifi it will say Error. Only started having this problem since EB13.
My camera seems to be working like a champ! The phone in its entirety is working like a champ. Too bad you folks are having issues. I doubt Samsung will be putting out an small update to fix these minor bugs any time soon. Hopefully....little tricks suggested here will iron the kinks out.
It seems that the screen is going into Landscape mode and is MUCH more sensitive since the FROYO upgrade. For example, when the screen is locked and I go to unlock it, the screen will landscape quickly. Basically, the screen seems pretty sensitive. Any thoughts? THANKS!
Have you tried using your camera in the sports mode? Try it and after it starts vibrating and then crashes try putting the phone into the screen sleep mode then try to re wake the screen then see what happens!
I (and other people, from what I've seen), can not STAND the constant lag of EB13 when switching home screens. With Touchwiz, the phone slows to a crawl. For example, if I hit home and start swiping between screens, my phone will just lag so bad that I want to throw it against a wall. Then, after swiping (or just letting my home screens "load") it'll smoothen out. It gets to the point of just freezing for like 3 seconds if I try to swipe past my "Buddies Now" widget and then it'll come back and let me swipe smoothly again. When I turn Touchwiz off and run stock launcher it's smooth again. But I kind of like Touchwiz lol...
The biggest thing that kept me from the Evo was the buttery smoothness of the Epic with screen transitions. I've seen people mention speed increases, but I'm not seeing it as far as screen transitions go (feel like I'm back on the Pre again).
For the record, I came from stock and have factory reseted, wiped cache, and used the Windows 7 .exe update. I guess I'm going to try and run the .exe again, but I hate this update. It feels like they just stamped EB13 on the name instead of DK28.
