I wouldn't pay $1000 for a phone much less $2000. For $2000 I could get a really nice 2 in 1 AND a phone which could do 1000x the things this silly device can do. I love the cutting edge as much as the next guy, but this form factor does nothing to make life easier or more enjoyable.

There is no way I'm paying that much for this phone are any phone .

I can afford it , but to me thats just to pricey

Its not worth it to me. I'm sure some will buy it and that's their choice to buy whatever they want to with their money.

The most I will do is read the reviews and peoples personal thoughts after they have it in their hands :)

That is point of this device. To only have ONE device instead of the "AND" needed. It's why I enjoy my Note 9. But the 9 is still not a tablet. Phablet, of course, but not tablet.

But it doesn’t do either part well at all. The phone part sucks and the tablet part sucks so what’s the point if either experience is compromised?

Well that's for the consumer to decide. And for Samsung to take notes, and improve the design over iterations. Again, I don't see the down side yet. Even if the first batch of foldable phones don't work, the places they can go from here with this new technology are interesting to say the least.

I'm not getting one, since it is out of my price range. $700 is my limit for a phone.

There is no way any phone should ever sell for 2K if they are trying to sell it to the general public. Hey cell phone makers, try finding a way to sell phones at a lower price point not higher. I know that they are trying to offer a lot of bells and whistles but the phones are getting more expensive and you all are going to end up pricing yourselves out of this market. #JustSaying

Hi, Cindy! Long time! If this phone was made by Apple, would anyone be questioning the price? My brother-in-law would get one in a heartbeat, plus for his wife and kids!

People are questioning Apple"s prices on their current devices.

People still buy them.
My coworkers husband bought her the 10R as soon a it came out. That was the lower price one, but what she'd use. She really didn't care and didn't see a need for a new phone.

This device cannot run Windows and thus cannot run serious software like a laptop. So you will still need a laptop after you blow 2k on this fashion statement.

Who uses laptops? They're less expensive to get buyers. Everyone uses phones. That's one reason prices are going up.
Unless you need one for a job, people don't use them.

Mobile Cyber Week Sales Accounted for 53% of Total Revenue in 2018.

More people shopped via mobile device not laptop.

Windows isn't the only software for laptops.

BUT just like the Note 9, you could possibly use basic Word, Excel and PowerPoint if you need to.

Best way to sum it up

I know it's a lot of money for some people but personally I've always been intrigued by the latest tech and this is no different I've gotta have it lol! Just need to be patient now until I can pre order

Well, the Huawei Mate X just ruined the Galaxy fold for me

$2,600.

Now the Fold looks like a bargain.
For comparison the S10 is 7.8mm.
Also what's that right edge when folded?

I like Samsung but not that much. it seem all the phone makers are going big but don't want to listen to the real people who buy there products. it looks nice but it will be like the note 9 , s9+ . ring tones all the same, volume low , same old apps in it come on Samsung get creative for 2000 who has that to spend ?

Rich nerds.

I dont know I think Mate X might of won this one.

I like how when folded you get the entire screen on the front. Samsung should of done that also.
