First off. The K1 is a tablet only processor. Second the Nexus 6 uses a s805 and thirdly the A8X is pretty much the same as the K1 and no, the K1 doesn't come close to destroying the A8X.

The a8 is a damn good chip but Apple hamstrung it with how they utilized item, which is a real shame. It's like having a 2 barrel carb on a hemi engine.

When the 810 chipsets are out then we can have a valid apple to Apples comparison.

Barely...I don't think you know what that means.
Can't you just be objective and realise that the A8 IS a good chipset and that developers are taking advantage of it such as pixelmator shows along with many games that will be able to take advantage of the incredible new GPU?

I'm comparing the two devices right now. I have had the Note 4 since launch and I have had the iPhone 6 Plus for a little longer than a day. It has been interesting comparing the two devices.

Does it really matter? Honestly, all these magical statistics, do they mean anything in the real world? Is anyone really using their phone and thinking "wow my phone which has a triple C core x22 processor with a bench mark of 59385838, is running so fast"

Does it really matter which is better? When you use a phone do you honesty think of this stuff?

IMO, just use whichever phone you like and what works for you, worrying about the bench marks of two phones with different specs on different operating systems, really doesn't make much sense. Regardless of which one is faster or better, how is that going to impact anything if we both can open the same app in the blink of an eye?

IMO, just use whichever phone you like and what works for you, worrying about the bench marks of two phones with different specs on different operating systems, really doesn't make much sense. Actually I do think about my phone since I use it as much as I do. Does it matter to me... Yes it does. Just because it doesn't matter to you and is irrelevant doesn't mean that everyone feels the same.

Of course they do. Thats why people pay attention to them. My Nexus 5 has significantly better stats than my Droid 1, and it is really obvious when using the devices. My Nexus 5 has a significantly better camera than my nexus 4, and this is really obvious when using the devices.

No, they are using their phone with desktop widgets and live wallpapers without any slowdown. Thats what the fancy processor and monster RAM can give them. Is it possible to have those things without the fancy processor? Sure it is...but the experience will not be the same.

If the experience is still "good enough", then you do not need the fancy processor. But it won't be "good enough" for everyone. Which is why the fancy processor exists. It is not just about bragging rights...the better hardware does result in a better experience most of the time.

I haven't seen anyone claim that it is... But I can say that the 805 will hold it's own against it, and the 810...well it's really best to wait till it's out in the wild before claiming a winner.. Of course fans of Apple will claim that the 3 or 4 gigs of ram isn't fair but it will be the what they come out with them..
