Well those who reserved (like me ) are guaranteed to receive their devices on the 24th, so I'm guessing by next week. Mine says expedited shipping to so hopefully they don't mess up shipments like they did with the Note 8

Samsung guaranteed deliver by dates in the past and failed miserably.

Well last night my charge disappeared from my bank account which means they're getting ready to ship. My thinking is they either start shipping them on Friday and we get it on Monday or late Sunday night and tue most of us get it.

Samsung.com gave no option to pay for overnight shipping this time so it's 2nd day air.

Your card was pre-authorized, those fall off automatically after set amount of days.

I bet they ship out on the 22nd. That way you get it either the 23rd or 24th depending on how far you are from the fedex/ups hub. I gotta stay away from these forums. Yall are making me anxious!

When you place order via credit card it's just a authorization to check if there are sufficient funds to cover the transaction and the charger gets an authorization code. That initial check automatically drops off after 'n' number of days if the charger doesn't go thru the charge. So this doesn't mean they are shipping. The indication they are shipping is when you get charged which they generally do before shipping or getting ready to ship. That can happen anyday between now and 2 or 3 days before launch depending on when the want to ship.

Not exactly true! My Note 8 was shipped and I wasn't charged until a few days later.

Not trying to pick on the OP here, but from what I recall during the past few Note releases, he seems to get pretty worked up...the phone will get to you when it gets to you...no reason to get angry unless you don't received on the promised by date, even if others are getting their phones before you...I understand it that is probably easier said than done, especially after forking out a grand or more but in the end, it's just a phone. I apologize in advance if this post is against the forum rules...

I am betting I get mine on 8/24, provided no hurricane up and develops between now and then. *

Or, unless I cancel my preorder again and decide to switch to a 512 GB blue one, which won’t ship out till the “week of August 26”.

I live in Punta Gorda and had the same problem with Irma. I think we're safe. I don't see much out there that could be a threat right now.

The authorization charge on my payment card also fell off yesterday evening. Fingers crossed.

Hmm. Mine is through Samsung Financing. I'll check and see if anything on there looks different. Each time I check it just shows Preorder / Ordered.
