Not even sure if I deserve my note 9 now... I already cracked the screen. Not even a full week and i cracked it. it only covers the very top right of the screen so not too bad. I had a screen protector and a case but it still cracked. I might have to lose the case because having it on made me way too lax with protecting it.

I have read a couple other similar stories already. Word is that at the last minute Samsung opted for a thinner screen glass.

Spigen Neoflex screen protector and the spigen wallet s case. As i opened the car door a dog was there so i was going to use my hoodie to shoo it away. As i reached for my jacket it fell down into the gravel driveway. The wallet cover was open at the time it fell but the case still didn't really help any since the corner popped out the case and hit the ground. The shatter is at the very top right and fairly small but there are a few hairline cracks around the top right and one of them travel down the complete right curve from top to bottom

Tempted to call and cancel today, then order a metallic copper exynos varient. Don't do all that much gaming on my phone, so I don't think the weaker gpu would bother me much. Decisions decisions...

Suppose to receive in first week of September.
Received speed bump email from Samsung on Sept 7th that I will be receiving the device before Sept 15th.
Status of phone was backordered but changed to confirmed today.{Always check on mobile app coz web isn't updating anything on time}

That's stinks. Sorry to hear about this. I don't think you should necessarily shy away from cases, but maybe get a case that is designed to protect from drops. The Neoflex screen protector only protects against scratches, and the wallet case is not really designed to protect it from falls, but rather to hold other items and also to protect the screen from being scratched. Often wallet cases don't have a tight grip on the phone so I can understand it popping out. Hopefully you'll be able to get that fixed quickly.

Going back to the the thread... all you 512s waiting for your phone. I'm 128 and I'm waiting for my phone. Truth be told, I ordered it much later than you all (22nd) and was told that it would ship the week of the 16th when I ordered so I have little room to complain - but I don't see any lack of inventory for the 128g blue model (ATT) practically anywhere so how Samsung seems to not have a supply is beyond me. I am sure any wish for an early delivery is moot. I've had like several phone cases and whitestone dome just sitting here for about 3 weeks now.

I ordered my last two from Samsung (Note 8, GS 8+) and have never had an issue, but I usually ordered it early on. We'll see if this gets off the ground.
