Samsung galaxy S10 and S10 plus UK pre orders

Mines on my desk updating and configuring.
The FPS out of the box is very unreliable, I'm downloading the update that should improve that.
Initial impressions, it's gorgeous!
The screen is amazing and it's so much faster than my S8+ out of the box (S8 always felt laggy!)

Quick thoughts on the ceramic feel and the standard?

The ceramic feels really nice but you do notice the extra weight. The ceramic is the only thing pushing me towards the plus, I do not use a case so the extra robustness is an attractive feature.

The standard S10 just feels so good though and may well be in that goldilocks zone size wise.

Tough decision!
 
One thing I have noticed is the plus was way quicker to set up for some reason. I set up the smaller S10 first and did not start the plus for about another 20 minutes, the plus is finished with all apps downloaded whereas the S10 has still not finished as I type this. Strange.

Don't know about the S10 but I've noticed is hugely quicker than my S8+!
Going back to my S8+ is like an ancient, ugly device and feels horrible and laggy!
Tbh my S8+ was always laggy, even out of the box on it's first day.

If it's anything like the free VR with the S8, I had to wait a few weeks before I could claim.

I also get a blank screen in the members app.
It might also be that I wasn't logged in when I preordered the phone so the app doesn't know the free buds is valid?
I'll speak to Samsung this weekend and get the phone added to my account and talk to them about the buds.

When I ordered the S8 I got the VR headset same day. I'll send them an email. The Samsung website wasn't working properly when I ordered when I was logged in. I had to come home and do it on my home laptop without logging in.
 
My phone is all set up but charging for me to get home tonight.

So how do you claim for the Galaxy buds. Download an app?
 
You have to download the Samsung Members App. You can find it in the play store. You click on the benefits tab and then click events where you see how to claim the ear buds. I clicked on that and it said fill out form but then it said the site was down for maintenance!

Ok will try it out the app might be slowed down due to sheer number of us new S10 users trying to log in and claim our buds lol
 
My ceramic black 512GB S10+ arrived at 1158 this morning...

Got it going and transferred all from my iPhone XS Max; it’s so nice to be back on Android ;)
 
Did anyone else do the trade-in? Still waiting to know how to send my old phone back. It says on their website that they want the old phone back within 7 days of receiving the new S10 and that they'd send packaging with pre-paid postage to send it in. But I received no packaging, no email, nothing...
