Just did the update and I have no idea where my smileys have gone to from the keyboard. I can't find them or these new emojis anywhere in the stock messaging app. I'm so confused :S

You have to press and hold the mic to get the smiley key.😀😄

i did my upgrade 3 days ago it's been fast for me no problems here. Noticed the memory is much better then before it seems to have a hard time releasing the memory on it's own I always had to clear it out myself.

Consider yourself lucky! Happy for you. It's been a nightmare for me and many others.

Mines has been good since 4.3 upgrade. But unlike some people, after a big update like that, I personally like to do a hard reset of my phone. But I know some people don't like to do that. Just something I do though. Never had a issue when I get big update like.

I had the same issue with it popping up what worked for me is I went to the settings menu and select more Then click Application Manager click "all" and scroll down to the Samsung music player click on it and press turn off un select the notifications and force stop. So far that worked.

Thanks for the help! That did the trick. The music player on my lock screen was frustrating.

Since i have updated my s4 i cannot connect to wifi (it detects it but didn't get the ip adress)...but i cannot connect to my 3g and 4g network neither...can anyone help me?

Just got the updaed 4.3 update yesterday, since then the phone won't reliably or stably connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi. 5 Ghz works fine, even off of the same AP. The 2.4 GHz network is there, active and working, my laptop can use it, but the only SSIDs that work are the ones on the 5 GHz band.

I think they've got more work to do. This is annoying, the 5 GHz WiFI sucks down noticeably more battery than the 2.4 GHz band.

Since i have updated my s4 i cannot connect to wifi (it detects it but didn't get the ip adress)...but i cannot connect to my 4g network neither... and i call the carrier and they "solved" but its not working i dont want to do a factory reset.. but if thats my only choice i might lose everything right?? can anyone help me?

I will put this in here since I think I put in the wrong thread.
I have an eye-fi card that requires the "check for internet service"
option be unchecked. I have 4.3 and it is not under the advanced
settings in the wifi setting.
Please could someone tell where it went?

Hello I'm experiencing the exact behaviour - you are describing - please let me know if you find a solution -its extremely frustrating

My text app is doing the same thing. How do I turn off hangouts and make it only search contacts in my phone?

I found a setting called "auto switch between networks" is this the same as "check for internet service"?

You dont read the page, I wrote in the same page that there is a fix on the playstore thats named wifi fixer, dont know if it's working because i dont have this problem after the update.

"check for internet service" is the same thing as "auto switch between networks". Now my eye-fi card works flawlessly. It does not check for an Internet connection everytime the phone connecteds to the card.

This wifi fixer you speak of doesn't exist on the play store. It must have a different name. That's what I was asking about earlier. There is no "Wifi fixer" app.
