Samsung Galaxy S5 Left Channel Crackling

Hi, new member, be gentle!

I know this is has kind of been covered in earlier posts, but I can;t find anything exactly the same. The left channel on my Galaxy S5 has become "crackly" rather than there being no sound at all coming from it. Right channel is fine. I've tried 2 different sets of headphones and both are the same, I've checked both sets on different devices and they work properly. I've tried blowing into the socket but no difference. Is it a repair job?

Welcome to Android Central! You might need to get the headphone jack replaced. Try using a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts on the jack.
