Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge cannot update "Unfortunately, software update has stopped"
Hello,
I've been getting the "unfortunately, software update has stopped" message ever since I got my S7 Edge yesterday. I disabled "download updates automatically" but I will still get the message. If I click on "download updates manually" I will also get the same message.
I tried factory reset the device but the issue persists. I also found out there are two software updates in the application folder - version 3.1.12 (can force stop & clear data) & version 1.1.67 (can't disable, force stop, or clear data). I don't know if there is anything to do with those two applications, but I did try to clear data and force stop the first update though I would still get the message.
Does anyone know what the problem is? The phone is running on 6.0.1 android Marshmallow
(P.S The only thing I've done is restoring my apps from my previous Xperia Z3 through CM backup)
Thank you!
Calvin
