NoOkay, so I just noticed there was an app for T-mobile that would unlock my phone, going into it, it says it's locked. Would a factory reset fix that with the new sim card in?

It probably added it with tmobile sim , this is a sprint phone
Server error because its not a tmobile deviceThat sucks, hopefully I can get the unlock app to work then after updating some stuff. Kept saying some server error.
Put a sprint sim and it will load up sprint stuff ,same as Att sim , or Verizon sim , its sim unlocked otherwise the tmobile stuff wouldn't load on a sprint phoneWhich is why I was asking if setting it back to a sprint phone and redoing this with the sim card would remove the t-mobile crap.

Can uninstall it

Says server not responding, would taking the sim card out allow me to work with it then? I want to unlock it so it's not on T-mobile so I can use it on Verizon.
Ok listen carefully , your device is not TMobileIt has a verizon sim inside currently, still boots up and uses t-mobile apps. Apparently it works now but still shows up t-mobile and has those apps on it. I need that fixed. Which, when going into that device unlock, still says it's locked. Whether it's saying that cuz of the sim or it's actually still locked, I don't know.

That app only works with device that's directly from TMobile.
You still have TMobile sim ?
See this what I circled in your screen shotNo, I got this phone refurbished and it came with just the phone and cable. It was supposed to be unlocked and is not.
See this what I circled in your screen shot
TMB/XAA/SPRT
LAST ONE IS THE ORGINAL PHONE WHICH IS SPRINT. TMB/XAA MUST BE STRAIGHT TALK WITH TMB IF IT WAS TMB IT WOULD BE LIKE THIS TMB/TMB/SPRT OR VERIZON WOULD BE VZW/VZW/SPRT SO YOU HAVE STRAIGHT TALK SHOULD BE VZW/XAA/SPRT OTHERWISE A SIM FROM VERIZON BE VZW/VZW/SPRT
YOU HAVE NO APN ON THE PHONE
EITHER TRY ONE FROM VERIZON OR CHOOSE RESET APN , OTHERWISE RETURN THE PHONE BACK
Lol..Im not yelling or treating you like crap! You think because I put in caps thats yelling lol I didn't want keep reverting back from caps and small case and just continue in all upper case .
I'm sitting here walking you one by one through the steps until you understand . Im here trying make you understand this the easiest possible way with screen shots , words etc.
Now , is it getting a connection or did it populate a APN ?
Ok , now reboot the phone see if it changes from tmobile and test out calls and texts , surf web on mobile data see how it isGot a connection, had to force a APN to work. Still reads all tmobile, the app itself still says it's locked and has tmobile apps. I have no idea how this is even working at all.

Thats the problem , until you get a prepaid Verizon sim it won't delete those tmobile start up splash screen , like I mentioned that tmobile unlocked app doesn't mean anything because it orginally wasn't the phone , you can delete most of those tmobile apps, and should be able to delete the unlocked app from tmobile or once you put a verizon sim it will automatically reboot the device to configure.Boots as T-mobile, says Verizon in the corner, have tested out calls, text and surfing the web is a bit hard where I get my signal from. It works apparently, just wont switch over and it's locked. I can't get the app to let me attempt to unlock it either. That's where I'm stuck at now from having it fixed.
