Samsung gets stuck when trying to clear history?

So no matter what I've been doing at the end of the day I always clear my history sometimes more than once a day. Everytime I select what I need and tell it to clear, it does the loading or whatever you call the busy symbol. And it keeps going and going forever, I end up having to close the program and reopen, history is clear but it's a pain in the butt! What's going on?
