Samsung Kies Connection Issues

When i connnect my Samsung Galaxy SIII the computer tells me that my hardware ID is missing and troubleshooting the connection error won't fix it. Kies wont recognize my SIII. It has only workied once. Any Idea's?

Kies does that to me on my MacBook with my Galaxy S II. I just have to keep plugging it in until it recognises the phone

Thanks, i did that. I wonder if Samsung is aware of this issue and are working on it.

I too have seen this issue. I tried to connect my device several times but it didnt work. I opened the Kies application and hit 'troubleshoot connection error' button. It reinstalled the device driver on my computer and it worked.

You can fix this by restarting Kies and then running the Connection Troubleshooter wizard. It will re-install the Samsung USB drivers. The updated phone will be re-recognized in the process and connect after that. Also... For Windows 7 there is a very recent Samsung USB MTP driver update on windows update.
